Cham Community: Let’s Talk About Our Future!

Missed our first community engagement meeting on Sept 26? Here is another opportunity to catch up; come and hear updates about the community center project, review & provide input on the different building concepts we are exploring for the Juneau housing development, and share your perspective as we continue the conversation on these important projects.

Cham community members of all ages are welcome! If you’re between 30–55, we especially encourage you to attend this conversation about our community center and the future of affordable housing for Cham families.

Why are we especially encouraging the 30–55 age group to join? You may not be looking for senior or affordable housing yourself, but your parents, elders, relatives, or other loved ones might be. You’re also in a unique position to help bridge generations, share information with family members, and bring your perspective to the planning process.

At this meeting, we’ll discuss:
* Updates on the community center and housing plans
* What these developments could mean for Cham families across generations
* Ways to share ideas, ask questions, and stay involved

Whether you’re younger than 30, between 30–55, or older than 55, your voice and connection to our community matter. Your perspective, questions and feedback will be needed as we move forward. So come learn, share, and help us think about the future we want to build as a community.

Yuko Kodama reports that the Oct. 3 Graham Block Party will give residents a chance to discuss those priorities with city and Sound Transit officials.
