Monroe Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Their enthusiasm, dedication and community spirit moved them to step out on faith and charter our illustrious chapter.

Monroe Alumnae Chapter was chartered in 1955 by twelve dedicated community-minded women who wanted to encourage sisterhood and service in the Monroe area as proud members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Originally chartered as Epsilon Iota Sigma Chapter, the name later changed to Monroe Alumnae Chapter in 1958. The twelve charter members were:

Serving with purpose and sisterhood. The Sorors of Monroe Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Economic Development Committee showed up and showed out for Love the Boot Week, keeping Louisiana beautiful. They cleaned up a large stretch of Winnsboro Road starting at MAC's fresh market parking lot.

Join the Monroe Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated on June 13, 2026 at 7:13 PM at the beautiful Bayou Pointe Event Center for an unforgettable night of music, energy, and purpose. We’re bringing the heat with live entertainment from the Main Event Band, sounds by DJ Gravedigga, and the evening will be hosted by the legendary BJ Bell. Enjoy free food while it lasts, and don’t miss your chance to secure one of our limited reserved tables or sponsorship opportunities. ✨ Collegiate Spotlight ✨

Meet Ashlee Lewis ashleesymone__ , a proud member of the Lambda Rho Chapter at the University of Louisiana Monroe. Hailing from Princeton, Louisiana, Ashlee is a Kinesiology major with a concentration in Exercise Science, balancing academic excellence with intentional leadership.

Her Delta involvement includes serving as Treasurer (Fall 2023–Fall 2025) and Vice President (Spring 2026), roles that reflect her discipline, reliability, and commitment to service. After graduation, Ashlee plans to pursue a master’s degree in Sports Performance with the goal of becoming an exercise physiologist, using her knowledge to create meaningful impact.

Ashlee describes herself as intentional and driven, committed to becoming the best version of herself while inspiring others to do the same; a mindset that perfectly reflects Delta’s mission in action.

✨ Collegiate Spotlight ✨

Meet Tia Ransom , the current President of the Kappa Chi Chapter at Louisiana Tech University. Originally from Ventress, Louisiana, Tia is a Computer Science major whose leadership blends technical excellence with heart and purpose.

After graduation, Tia plans to pursue a career as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or Data Architect, all while traveling the world and fully embracing life’s possibilities. Grounded in faith and family, she describes herself as kind-hearted, intentional about becoming her best self, and deeply devoted to sisterhood.

And yes; she proudly shares that she loves God, loves her family, and absolutely loves her DST.

Meet Tianaye’ White .tianayee , a senior at Grambling State University majoring in Engineering Technology and proudly representing Broussard, Louisiana. Tianaye leads with intention, balance, and vision, bringing thoughtfulness to both her academic journey and her sisterhood.

Her Delta involvement includes serving as Arts and Letters Committee Chair, Economic Development Co-Chair, and Chaplain, roles that reflect her commitment to growth, service, and uplifting those around her.

After graduation, Tianaye plans to pursue a master’s degree while working in a profession that highlights her background in biology and engineering technology. With experience across construction, engineering, IT, biology, and medicine-related fields, her path is expansive and purpose-driven. And when the to-do list feels overwhelming, she keeps things moving by spinning a wheel to decide what to tackle first; a reminder that strategy and grace go hand in hand.
