Thank you to United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County for highlighting the impact of ChildSafe’s Trauma-Sensitive Schools Program and the incredible work happening at Dwight Middle School!

Through this partnership, educators have strengthened their ability to recognize and support students navigating trauma, instability, and other challenges that can impact their ability to engage in school.

We’re proud to see the results of this work reflected in a reduction in chronic absenteeism from 43.2% to 22% over three years and, more importantly, in more students showing up, re-engaging in their education, and building brighter futures.

Our first batch of Glitz & Glam Bingo - Bags and Brunch purses is in! So far, we have a Jon Hart, a Michael Kors, a Calvin Klein, and two Kate Spades.

Join us September 19th from 10am-1pm for brunch, bingo, and a chance to win a fabulous purse while making a difference for children and families impacted by abuse and neglect.

Proceeds from this event help support ChildSafe’s critical services, including forensic interviews, family advocacy, counseling, and other resources that help children and families navigate the aftermath of abuse and begin the healing process.

Big news for San Antonio families! 🌟

ChildSafe is thrilled to stand alongside Respite Care of San Antonio as part of the Safety Nest Network for the opening of Central Texas’s first Crisis Nursery.

When families face unexpected emergencies, whether it’s a health crisis, mental health emergency, or escaping domestic violence, they shouldn't have to face it alone. The new Crisis Nursery offers safe, specialized overnight care for children with complex medical needs or disabilities and their siblings, while connecting parents to crucial wraparound support services.

Early intervention reduces trauma and keeps children safe before a crisis escalates. We are so honored to collaborate on this vital community resource.
