What an incredible day! We are still smiling from our very first Flourish Award Luncheon, and it is all because of YOU.

We had the honor of presenting our inaugural Heart of Courage Award to Harvey E. Najim and Melissa Bauman of the Najim Charitable Foundation, and it could not have gone to a more deserving organization. Watching our President and CEO, Randy McGibeny, present this award was a moment none of us will forget.

A huge thank you to John Paul Barajas of KSAT News for serving as our emcee and keeping the energy going all afternoon.

None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors: Amarillo National Bank, Living Tree Counseling Center, University Health, Valero, Crandall & Associates, Jackie Gorman, Louie A. Guzman, and Next Level. We are genuinely grateful for each of you.

And to the incredible contributors who helped make the room feel so warm and welcoming, thank you to H-E-B for the beautiful floral arrangements, Musical Bridges Around the World for the moving live music, and LaTEAda for the lovely tea service.

To every guest who joined us and shared this special moment, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This is just the beginning, and we cannot wait to see everyone again next year.

This school year, ChildSafe’s Prevention Education team had the privilege of partnering with South West ISD’s School Age Parenting Program (SAPP) to support students who are pregnant and parenting as they work toward their academic goals.

Through prevention trainings on mental health, exploitation and child trafficking prevention, and our 13-week Raising Highly Capable Kids curriculum, students gained valuable parenting skills, strengthened family boundaries, and connected with peers facing similar experiences.

We’re grateful for programs like SAPP that provide resources, support, and opportunities for young families to thrive. A special thank you to Zuleyka Hernandez, SAPP Home Instruction Teacher, whose dedication and encouragement make a difference in the lives of her students every day! 🌟

The voices of the families we serve remind us why trauma-informed mental health care matters. 💚

After their child completes therapy at ChildSafe, caregivers are invited to share feedback about their experience with our organization. These insights help us understand the impact of our work and continue strengthening the care we provide for children and families.

The quotes shared here reflect the meaningful connections families build with our Clinical Department. Through compassion and expert intervention, our clinicians help children and families process trauma, build coping skills, and move toward healing during some of life’s most difficult moments.

We are deeply grateful to the families who trust us with their stories and to our ChildSafe staff for their continued commitment to compassionate care.

Trust is built in the little moments spent together. ✨

This Mental Health Awareness Month, ChildSafe is proud to join the campaign led by the National Children’s Alliance, highlighting the importance of connection, trust, and support in a child’s healing journey.

Through our Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare (OBH) program, children and families impacted by trauma build communication, confidence, and trust through adventure-based therapy and shared outdoor experiences.

We’re proud to be the only Children’s Advocacy Center in the nation offering Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare programming with bilingual services, helping make healing more accessible for families in our community.
