No child should face grief alone.

The death of a special person is hard at any age. For children and teens, having support can make a big difference.

When you shop, donate, or volunteer at our Trustbridge Treasures Resale Shops, you help support the Trustbridge Hospice Foundation which helps provide grief care for children and teens across Palm Beach and Broward counties when they need it. These programs help young people cope with loss, build strength, and connect with others who understand.

Today, more than 700 children and teens benefit from these services each year.

For many, that includes faith, traditions and community. Through our Tikvah Jewish Care & Support Program, we help Jewish patients and families stay connected to their faith, community and the practices that bring comfort and meaning.

Music is healing.

For people receiving hospice care, music therapy can ease anxiety, spark memories, encourage connection, and create meaningful moments with loved ones.

Empath Trustbridge Treasures is the newest location in the Trustbridge resale footprint, joining our Trustbridge Hospice Resale Shops in Juno Beach, West Palm Beach, and Boca Raton.

Together, these four stores support Trustbridge Hospice Foundation and help fund hospice care and community programs across Palm Beach and Broward counties.

Support from shoppers is one way that helps provide more than 7,800 music therapy sessions for nearly 2,400 hospice patients.

Congratulations to Dr. Javier Zaglul and Dr. Jorge Ahues, the newest graduates of the Trustbridge Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship and MSW Fellowship programs.

Over the past year, these physicians and social workers have trained alongside interdisciplinary teams, cared for patients and families facing serious illness, and deepened their expertise in hospice and palliative care.

The Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship prepares physicians for board certification in hospice and palliative medicine, while the MSW Fellowship helps prepare future hospice social workers through mentorship and hands-on experience.

Today, we celebrate these graduates and the colleagues, mentors and supporters who joined them in recognizing this important milestone.

We’re proud to celebrate the 2026 graduates of the Trustbridge Physician Fellowship Program, Dr. Javier Zaglul and Dr. Jorge Ahues, who recently presented their research to Empath physicians and administrators and the Trustbridge Hospice Foundation.

Research is an important driver of innovation within our Hospice and Palliative Medicine Program, and these projects reflect a shared commitment to continually learning, improving, and finding new ways to support patients and families.

Dr. Zaglul’s research explored the use of AI tools in healthcare, highlighting the essential role of human oversight as health systems thoughtfully consider how these technologies can be integrated into care.

Dr. Ahues examined the use of standardized hospice educational pamphlets during early patient education. His findings suggested that these resources can be helpful in supporting patients as they navigate important decisions about their care.

We’re grateful to Dr. Zaglul and Dr. Ahues for their curiosity, dedication, and thoughtful contributions to the future of hospice and palliative medicine. Their work reminds us that innovation is most meaningful when it ultimately helps us provide more informed, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
