Spreading joy across borders!

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Patrice and the incredible team from The Centre Of Love Foundation to our office this week. They dropped off thoughtful gifts for our children and families, bringing so many smiles to our community.

Taking it back to where it all began!

In 2008, just two years after founding our organization in 2006, we hosted our very first summer camp at City Prime Academy in Ngando—the same place we still call home for our Saturday program today.

What a time it was! Who remembers the legendary sack races and team games where everyone ended up tumbling into a pile of giggles? The kids ran until their shoes came off, lost their voices during cheer battles, and made lifelong friends over shared snacks. The grounds were overflowing with belly laughs and pure joy.

While our camps have grown bigger and better over the years, those early sunny afternoons in Ngando set the tone for everything we do today and hold a deeply special place in our hearts.

Strengthening partnerships drives lasting change!

We were delighted to host Shari, Sam, and Leonard, the founders of the Amboseli Children’s Fund, at our foundation recently.

It was a fantastic opportunity to exchange insights on our holistic approach to youth empowerment—from education and comprehensive case management to preparing students for successful transitions into employment and independent adulthood. Sharing how our refined case management model delivers targeted support for every child’s unique journey highlighted the incredible value of learning from one another.

Last Friday, our students had an incredible time exploring the future of innovation at the 9th National Science and Technology Exhibition, hosted by Young scientists kenya

From dive-ins into creative STEM projects built by young innovators across the country to taking part in the interactive Exhibition Treasure Hunt, our kids were truly inspired by this year’s theme: “Shaping Kenya’s AI Future Using STEM.”

It was an unforgettable day packed with learning, problem-solving, and celebrating the brilliant minds driving Kenya’s technological future forward. We are so proud of our young thinkers for jumping right into the action and discovering what’s possible when curiosity meets technology!

: Where it all began.

In 2007—just one year after we officially founded our organization—we gathered our very first group of students for our very first Saturday program. Back then, it was simple: a small group meeting up to share a modest lunch, enjoy some fun activities, and build a safe space where everyone belonged.

Looking at these photos, it’s incredible to see how far love, community, and dedication can take you.

Today, that humble Saturday gathering has grown into something bigger than we ever dreamed. Our Saturdays are now packed with vibrant, specialized clubs, expanded activities, and—yes—a much bigger and better lunch menu!

Meet Cheryl, a Form 4 student who shows us what true leadership looks like every single day!

As a prefect, Cheryl guides her classmates through the pressures of their final year with empathy, kindness, and unwavering support. But she doesn’t stop there—she also leads by example at the top of her class, proving that big dreams and strong leadership go hand in hand.

Throwback to where it all began!
In December 2005, our founder Paula visited Kenya for a trip that would change everything. That single visit sparked a vision, and by January 2006, our organization was officially born.
Fast forward to 2007: Paula R. Meyer returned for her second visit, this time to meet the incredible students whose lives were being transformed. What started as a dream quickly grew into supporting 60 students in school by the end of that year!
Looking at these photos reminds us that big impacts start with small, passionate steps.

Waste isn’t trash—it’s an opportunity!

Our alumni recently visited Bob Charles Kimani in Thika to see sustainable manufacturing in action. From producing premium khaki paper to recycling factory waste back into new products, Jamii Products showed our young entrepreneurs how the circular economy works in the real world.

Hands-on experiences like this teach our alumni that you can build a profitable business while protecting the environment.
