Hope Station serves homeless men and families as well as having a huge food distribution ministry.

World Homeless Day | October 10th 🩵

Today, we recognize World Homeless Day and the importance of bringing awareness to homelessness in our communities.

At Hope Station, our men’s shelter and family shelter are currently providing a safe place for 27 individuals, ranging from small children to older adults. Each person has their own story, their own struggles, and their own hopes for the future.

Homelessness does not have one face, one story, or one definition. It can affect anyone, at any stage of life. Behind every number is a person deserving of dignity, compassion, safety, and the opportunity for a fresh start.

Today, we encourage our community to look beyond the circumstances and see the people. Together, through compassion, support, and understanding, we can make a difference.

Because everyone deserves a place to call home. 🏡

September is Recovery Month 💜

Since 1989, Recovery Month has been observed every September to celebrate the achievements of people in recovery from substance use disorder, raise awareness about the importance of treatment and recovery, and recognize the individuals, service providers, and communities who make recovery possible.

At Community Partners of Hope, we also recognize the close connection between addiction and homelessness. Substance use can lead to job loss, financial hardship, broken relationships, and ultimately the loss of housing. For many people, homelessness and addiction can become a difficult cycle but recovery is possible, and hope is always possible.

Men experiencing homelessness can face additional barriers, including workplace injuries, limited support systems, and reluctance to ask for help. This is why compassion, treatment, recovery services, and community support are so important.

This month, we celebrate those who are in recovery, honor those who support them, and continue working toward a community where everyone has the opportunity to find hope, healing, stability, and a new beginning. 💜

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming back Reverend Christine Roe from Lakeside Lutheran Church. Rev. Roe generously gifted the City Road Men’s Shelter with a new record player and a collection of classic records to provide the men with music, enjoyment, comfort, and a little extra happiness.

We are deeply grateful for the members of our community who take an interest in the men we serve and find meaningful ways to bring joy and encouragement into their lives. ❤️

At Community Partners of Hope, we believe that kindness can come in many forms, and that even the smallest gesture can make a meaningful difference. No contribution is too small when it is given with compassion and a desire to bring hope to others.
