Today (9/2) from 11-5 we once again have free produce courtesy of Valadez Organic Produce! There are crenshaw melons, cherry and grape tomatoes, large tomatoes, zucchini, grapes, egg plant, bell peppers, and an assortment of spicy peppers! Please remember that others would like to enjoy the produce as well, so take only what you need.

We are proud to be a part of bringing The Imagination Library to Douglas County!

In 1995, Dolly Parton started mailing books to children in her home county to inspire children to love reading in honor of her dad, who couldn’t read or write.

That idea lives here too. Every month, children in Douglas County find a book in the mailbox — because of neighbors who fund it, volunteers who run it, and a woman from Sevier County, TN who started it all.

Thank you, Dolly. We will always love you.
