Summer programs are almost here! ☀️

A big THANK YOU to Wood Rodgers for helping us assemble High Wire Project Kits for our Engineering Inventors program. Their team’s support is helping us prepare hands-on engineering experiences for students this summer, and we couldn’t do it without amazing partners like them!

We are so grateful for their time, energy, and commitment to making STEAM education more accessible for local students. 💙

Last week Kristin McGowan and Nithin Jilla from our team had the privilege of representing Dreams for Schools at Impact 2026 alongside incredible nonprofits doing meaningful work across Orange County.

We asked “What did you want to be when you grew up?” The answers ranged from teacher to actress to underwater scuba diving explorer adventurer. Every single one of them was a reminder of why access to STEAM education matters - because kids with big dreams deserve the tools to build them.

Proud of what Dreams for Schools is building and grateful for the community that shows up to support it.

Thank you to Leadership Tomorrow and all the members who helped organize this event to highlight Nonprofit impact in OC!

Two years and counting! 🎉 Shoutout to Jano, our behind-the-scenes MVP who keeps Dreams for Schools running smoothly day in and day out. The work we do for students wouldn’t be possible without the people who show up consistently and give their all. Grateful to have an amazing team member in Jano!

Yesterday our Founder and Executive Director Nithin Jilla had the privilege of sitting on the Golden State Pathways Program Industry Partner Panel hosted by Orange County Department of Education. The conversation focused on work-based learning, apprenticeship pathways, and how we strengthen alignment between K-12, postsecondary, and the workforce. Dreams for Schools is proud to be at the table and help create opportunities around apprenticeships for the next generation of California students.

One of the key people behind the scenes who helps make everything run? That’s Hannah. 🙌🏽 One year ago Hannah joined our team. Today we genuinely cannot imagine DFS without her. 💙

Hannah joined DFS as our Volunteer & Materials Manager - and we could not be more grateful. From coordinating hundreds of volunteers to making sure every program has what it needs, she is an absolute cornerstone of our team.

Happy 1 year, Hannah! Here’s to many more. 🎉

We had a great time participating in today’s Expanded Learning Vendor Fair hosted by the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE)!

This event created such a valuable space for community organizations, educators, and program leaders to connect, collaborate, and share resources that support expanded learning programs across Orange County. We’re grateful for the opportunity to engage with so many passionate individuals who are committed to bringing meaningful, high-quality enrichment opportunities to students.

A big thank you to OCDE for hosting events like this and for continuing to invest in programs that inspire curiosity, creativity, and growth beyond the classroom.

We’re excited about the connections made and the impact ahead!

It’s National Library Week and we’re shouting out our amazing library partners in Orange County! The Orange Public Library, Anaheim Public Library, and Santa Ana Public Library have opened their doors to Dreams for Schools - giving kids in their communities access to hands-on coding, robotics, and engineering programs right in their neighborhoods.

Libraries have always been about access and opportunity. We’re proud to help bring that mission to life. Thank you to our library partners for believing in what we do.

This is why we do what we do.

Seeing students proud of what they’ve created, confident in what they’ve learned, and excited about what’s next, are what it’s all about.

It’s more than just projects or presentations. It’s growth, curiosity, and the belief that they can build something meaningful. And that’s worth celebrating. 🎉

Battleship… but make it robotic 🤖🚀

Students at Jefferson Elementary had a blast playing our Sphero Battleship game! Programming their robots, making strategic moves, and trying to sink their opponent’s ships! 💥

Learning + teamwork + a little friendly competition = the perfect STEM day 🎯
