Follow us for heartwarming arrivals, foster stories, and pets waiting for homes. Founded in 2011, GRRR is a small 501(c)(3) rescue organization that serves Savannah, Georgia and the surrounding counties. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats from owners who are no longer able to care for them, from public shelters without a “no-kill” policy, and from situations where they have suffered abuse

or neglect. We are committed to helping both the most needy and the more readily adoptable animals in our community. All donations made are tax deductible, and every dollar goes directly to the care of our animals. All of our rescues are spayed or neutered, receive proper veterinary treatment, and are placed in loving foster homes while awaiting adoption. Nine-year-old Cosmo loves people, dogs, and cats almost as much as he loves the New York Knicks. Even if you’re a San Antonio fan, it’s impossible not to fall in love with this sweet boy.

Cosmo is neutered, fully vaccinated, and earned top marks on his senior bloodwork panel. Healthy, happy, and full of love, he’s ready for the next chapter of his life with a family of his own.

Whether it’s basketball, football, baseball, or hockey, Cosmo is ready to be your couch companion and biggest cheering partner. Celebrating two more senior rescues today from the Chatham County Animal Services into loving GRRR foster homes. Next stop: medical intake exams early next week, where we’ll make sure every ache, bump, and worry gets the attention it deserves.

Biggie and Piglet are our next rescues stepping into the GRRR family. They are not a pair and come from two separate situations, but both need the same thing, a loving foster home where they can rest, recover, and rediscover joy.

As seniors, they’ve weathered more than their share. Now it’s our turn to help them return to health, comfort, and happiness. Their first step begins with a foster home while we complete vetting and provide medical care.

What foster parent provides:

• Love, patience, and a gentle routine
• Proximity to our vet partners in Chatham County

Nine‑year‑old Noodle has had one of the toughest mouths we’ve seen, pockets of infection, decayed teeth, and pain he carried quietly for years. When Team GRRR rescued him a week ago, we knew he needed help fast. We rushed his pre‑op, and today he went into surgery with Dr. Serina.

Though he’s heading home with only eight teeth and no testicles, what he does have is a brand‑new beginning. His dental surgery was more complex than usual, requiring a periodontal flap procedure to clear the deep infection but this brave little guy handled it like a champ.

Noodle will heal quickly, and for the first time in years, he’ll know what a pain‑free life feels like. Join us in praying for his speedy recovery and celebrating the beautiful new chapter ahead for this sweet soul.

Four surgeries. Four brave hearts. One big step closer to forever. At 8:00 a.m. sharp this morning, Team GRRR checked in four incredible souls at Elite Veterinary Services.

Clockwise from left:
Archie — in for his neuter, tail wagging like a champ.
Peaches — bravely tackling a dental and spay, sweet as her name.
Buzz Lightyear — neuter day for our space‑ranger‑hearted boy.
Tater Tot — tiny, mighty, and neutered today too.

This was their last big milestone before they’re officially ready for the families who will love them forever. The road to happily‑ever‑after is wide open now, and we couldn’t be prouder of each of them.

This was a great week for nine-year-old Noodle! Rescued on Sunday, visited the vet on Thursday, and now getting ready for his full dental and neuter this coming Tuesday. Noodle says it’s glorious to be a GRRR dog!

This sweet boy will be looking for the perfect forever home in the not-too-distant future, so stay tuned. We’ll be sure to let everyone know when it’s time to begin accepting applications.

Rescued by Team GRRR on Sunday, nine‑year‑old Noodle met his new favorite vet today, Dr. Serina at EVS. He received a full senior intake: complete bloodwork, f***l, and urinalysis, giving us a clear picture of what he needs for a healthy new beginning.

We’re now getting him ready for next Tuesday, when he’ll undergo full dental surgery and a neuter. It’s a big week for this sweet boy, but Noodle knows there’s no fooling around when it comes to good health and a fresh start.

Next week is his big step forward and we’ll keep you posted every pawprint of the way.
