Louisiana students are raising the bar — and the nation is taking notice!

New statewide data show Louisiana ranks #1 in the country for growth in AP exams earning qualifying scores since 2019. Our students have more than doubled their qualifying scores, and the state has closed a 20‑point gap with the national average to just 2 points.

This is what happens when teachers, students, and school leaders — including our charter schools — stay focused on excellence and opportunity.

Congratulations to every student who earned college credit before graduation. Louisiana is proving what’s possible. Let's keep the momentum going! 📚🎓

Louisiana posted the largest increase of any state since 2019 in the share of Advanced Placement Exams earning a qualifying score.

Louisiana’s qualifying score rate has improved at more than twice the national rate of growth from 2019-2026. A qualifying score on an AP Exam can earn a student college credit before they graduate high school.
