Understanding a changing ocean starts with showing up. ⚓

Decades of continuous observations from the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, part of ASU, have built one of the North Atlantic’s most important data records.

On board the R/V Atlantic Explorer, students, researchers and partners work to capture data that helps shape how we understand and respond to a shifting climate.

This work doesn’t happen alone. It’s powered by philanthropy and global partnerships that keep discovery moving forward.

Restoring a reef takes research, care and community. 🌱

In West Hawaiʻi, Arizona State University’s partnership with the ʻĀkoʻakoʻa Reef Restoration program is helping coral ecosystems recover and thrive through cultural leadership, multimodal education, scientific intervention and government partnerships.

Now, the team is preparing for coral spawning by rehabilitating rescued colonies in a land-based nursery so they can return home stronger and ready to rebuild their reefs.

On Memorial Day, we remember those who gave their lives in service and reflect on the responsibility we share to honor that sacrifice.

At ASU, that remembrance lives on through a continued commitment to supporting veterans, active military members and their families. We are proud to support the work of the Pat Tillman Veterans Center - Arizona State University, which helps military-connected students thrive through education, community and opportunity.

Today, we pause with gratitude and look ahead with resolve to build a future worthy of their legacy.
