In the Valley: Praying “Not My Will, But Yours” in the Hard Seasons 🌿✝️
When walking through intense personal grief, a broken marriage, or unanswered prayers, it’s easy to feel like God has abandoned you. But to find genuine peace, we first have to reject the false "prosperity mindset" that says if something is going wrong, God must be angry with us.
Obedience to God doesn’t guarantee an easy road. In fact, just like in the life of Jesus, obedience may lead you straight into the garden of Gethsemane—into places of deep suffering, pain, and heartbreak. In Psalm 23, King David didn't say if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death; he said when I walk through. The valley is inevitable, but so is God's presence: "I will fear no evil, for You are with me".
Nothing grows on barren mountaintops; spiritual depth, true surrender, and real growth happen down in the valley. When you find yourself in the darkest season, know that God hasn't left you. He is right beside you, refining your heart and teaching you how to trust His will above your own. 🙏✨
