❤️ ZACHARY’S SENSORY GYM NEEDS YOU! ❤️
You have talents to share. You have a heart that cares. And you have something valuable to bring to our mission!
Have you ever wanted to make a difference in your community but wondered how you could help with your busy schedule? Maybe you work full-time, attend school, care for your family, or enjoy your retirement. Perhaps you think volunteering means having to attend every meeting, work every fundraiser, or be available all the time.
I'm here to tell you that there are many different ways to volunteer, and there may be a place for YOU on our team!
At Zachary’s Sensory Gym, we are working toward a dream that means so much to so many families. Our mission is to create a safe, welcoming, sensory-friendly recreational space where children, teenagers, and adults of all abilities can have fun, connect with others, and feel accepted just as they are.
This is about more than building a gym. It's about building understanding, creating opportunities, supporting families, and reminding people that everyone deserves a place where they belong.
But a mission this meaningful takes people who care, people who are willing to share their talents, and people who believe that even the smallest contribution can make a difference.
🌟 YOU DON'T HAVE TO LEAVE YOUR HOME TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Do you have a telephone and access to email? You can help us reach businesses, community leaders, organizations, and potential sponsors to share our mission and explain why our work matters.
Maybe you are good at writing emails, making telephone calls, researching opportunities, organizing information, creating social media posts, or connecting people with resources. Those talents can help our organization grow!
You can be part of our mission right from your own home.
🎓 HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS — WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
Yes, volunteer hours can be important for school, scholarships, and future opportunities. But volunteering can offer you so much more than hours on a form.
You have fresh ideas, creativity, technology skills, communication abilities, and talents that can help strengthen our organization. You can learn about teamwork, leadership, nonprofit work, community outreach, and fundraising while helping build something meaningful for families in our community.
You don't have to know everything. You can learn as you go, share what you know, and grow alongside us!
🌷 RETIRED INDIVIDUALS AND SENIOR CITIZENS — YOUR EXPERIENCE MATTERS!
You have lived, learned, worked, raised families, and gathered wisdom throughout the years. Those experiences are valuable!
Maybe you can make calls, help us communicate with businesses, share ideas, assist with planning, or help us discover opportunities we haven't considered. Maybe you prefer helping from home rather than attending events.
Whatever your circumstances, we would love to hear what you have to offer.
🤝 THERE IS A PLACE FOR DIFFERENT TALENTS, DIFFERENT SCHEDULES, AND DIFFERENT IDEAS.
We understand that life gets busy. Work, school, family, health, and everyday responsibilities all matter. We are not looking for people who can do everything. We are looking for people who are willing to contribute what they can, when they can.
We welcome people who can help occasionally, people who can assist from home, and people who would like to participate in our monthly meetings. If attending in person is difficult, you are welcome to ask about joining a meeting through Zoom.
We are a growing nonprofit organization, and we are learning with every fundraiser, every outreach effort, and every new experience. We don't claim to have all the answers. We are willing to learn, improve, listen to new ideas, and become stronger together.
Sometimes, the very thing you think is a small talent may be exactly what our organization needs.
❤️ A PERSONAL INVITATION FROM ME
My name is Vickie Lewis, Executive Director of Zachary’s Sensory Gym.
This mission is deeply personal to me, and I have seen how important it is for families to have places where their loved ones can feel welcomed, included, and understood.
We have worked hard to bring awareness to our mission, build community partnerships, hold fundraisers, and move closer to making our dream a reality. We have accomplished things through the kindness of others, and we know there is still work ahead of us.
Now, we are looking for more caring people to join us on this journey.
You don't have to be an expert. You don't have to have a perfect schedule. You don't have to know exactly how you can help before reaching out.
Just bring your willingness to share, your ideas, your experiences, and your heart. Let's talk about what might work for you!
You may discover that helping others brings a little more purpose, connection, and happiness into your own life, too.
If anything in this message speaks to you, please send me a private message or give me a call. Tell me a little about your interests, talents, and the kind of volunteering that might fit your life. Let's see how we can work together.

Together, we can build more than a sensory gym. We can build connections, create opportunities, and make a difference in the lives of families who deserve to know they are not alone.
❤️ Zachary’s Sensory Gym needs you. Your talents matter. Your time matters. And YOU matter!
Let's talk together. Let's learn together. And let's make a difference together. ❤️
