Thank you to our donors that have made it possible to say YES!

Together with 4 families sponsored by Cintas Fire, we are serving 18 households this year!!

Dec. 23 update: On Dec. 17, 2025, Gov. Bob Ferguson allocated $1 million for the Disaster Cash Assistance Program to help Washington residents impacted by the severe flooding in Washington. As of Tuesday morning, Dec. 23, those funds have been depleted, and DSHS can no longer approve applications.

As of Monday evening, Dec. 22, DSHS has provided critical support to more than 2,000 households.

Disaster Cash Assistance is available Dec. 17 to Jan. 15 for eligible households affected by flooding in specific counties. Those counties include Benton, Chelan, Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, King, Kittitas, Lewis, Pacific, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, Thurston, Yakima and Whatcom.

To apply, call the Customer Service Contact Center at 877-501-2233 or visit your local Community Services Office between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Find more information about Disaster Cash Assistance on the DSHS website. https://www.dshs.wa.gov/alert/food-benefits-and-flooding

WE HAVE ENOUGH FOR ALL 14 FAMILIES!!

Thanks so much to those who donated!! Your generosity has a massive impact on our struggling families!

I have reached out to all 14 families, 13 of which live in Dan & Bill's RV park, which was heavily flooded recently. The park is still flooded in the lower area. So far, 2 of those families have confirmed that they are now in a hotel, with at least one having lost their trailer and all of their possessions.

To be able to make a promise that we can take something off of their list is heartwarming.

Again, thank you. We would be nothing without you.

PLEASE SHARE!
Christmas is just over 2 weeks away!

In addition to 4 families being sponsored thru Our Shared Hopes by Cintas Fire Protection, we have 10 households that we are hoping to help this year.

13 of our households live in Dan & Bill's RV Park, located between Orting and Sumner, WA. You may have seen this park on the news today, as it is severely flooded with many residents displaced. One resident was rescued wearing a Santa hat. Still in good spirits despite the situation. Another resident says his trailer was flooded, and items he uses for his online business were ruined. Another had just purchased a new bed, but didn't get back in time with a truck to save his trailer.

These families have been hit hard this year. Last month with food stamps, and now this. When you are only one step above homelessness, these are devastating.

Please consider donating a food item. We can meet you where ever is most convenient for you. Even single item donations can add up so fast.

While we prefer food item or grocery store gift card donations, you can also make a donation online via PayPal at www.oursharedhopes.org
