🐴 IT TAKES A VILLAGE… AND SOME PRETTY GREAT VOLUNTEERS! 🤠
A huge NVHA shoutout to Monte Ecker and Steve Lombardi, who were definitely the stars of the weekend! These two rolled up their sleeves, worked hard, and got a whole lot accomplished around the grounds.
Then, as luck would have it, Ed Whitecotton showed up at exactly the right time! A busted pipe was discovered buried under nearly a foot of mud, and Ed jumped right in to help.
Over time, drainage had caused the ground around our main water shut-off valve to sink so much that the valve — along with the water line running to the Rusty Spur — had basically disappeared underground!
After plenty of digging, teamwork, and probably a little head-scratching, we now have a working and accessible main shut-off valve and a much better understanding of where those water lines actually run. 🙌
And we can’t forget Mark Evans, who always seems to come to the rescue when NVHA needs him!
These are the behind-the-scenes projects that may not be glamorous, but they make a BIG difference in keeping our facility running.
❤️ Monte, Steve, Ed and Mark — THANK YOU! We are incredibly fortunate to have members and volunteers who show up, get their hands dirty, and take such pride in caring for NVHA.
That’s what community is all about. 🐴
