At Farm Rescue, we see that spirit every day. It’s in the volunteers who give their time and equipment to help a farm family through a difficult season. It’s in the donors and partners who make that help possible. And it’s in the farming community that reminds us no one has to face life’s hardest seasons alone.

This National Farmers Day, we’re celebrating the farmers who feed our communities and the people who stand beside them.

Because farmers grow more than crops. They grow a community that cares.

From skilled equipment operators helping farm families in the field to CDL drivers, logistics volunteers, and those who lend a hand with fundraising and events, it takes a team of dedicated people to make our mission possible.

We're so grateful for each and every volunteer who gives their time, skills, and heart to help farmers when they need it most. 💙

For generations, farm families have poured their hearts into the land, working hard to care for the farm and pass it on to the next generation. The fear of losing that legacy can weigh heavily on a farmer’s mind, affecting their well-being, their family, and their future.

According to an American Farm Bureau Federation poll, 87% of farmers and farmworkers surveyed said fear of losing the farm impacts farmers’ mental health.

At Farm Rescue, we understand that a farm is more than land. It’s generations of hard work, family memories, and a legacy worth carrying forward. When illness, injury, or other hardships threaten a family’s ability to keep farming, we’re here to lend a helping hand.

This Mental Health Awareness Day, check in on a farmer & their family, listen without judgment, and remind them they don’t have to carry the weight alone. Because farmers have friends. 💙

Farm Rescue is so grateful to have the Axline family in our community. They have helped share their story and inspire others along the way, reminding us of the strength and resilience found in agriculture.

We’re excited to share that the Axline family of Lowden, Iowa, has been selected to receive one year of free groceries through the For the Farmer America 250 Campaign!

In 2024, when health challenges made it difficult for Darin to manage the physical demands of farming, Farm Rescue volunteers stepped in to help harvest the family’s corn crop. Through it all, the Axline family has remained dedicated to caring for their farm and agricultural community.

A heartfelt thank you to Hy-Vee and Anheuser-Busch for making this gift possible. This support will provide meaningful relief for the Axline family as they continue doing what they do best.

Some of the best memories are made around the supper table. A huge thank you to Iowa Corn and the Alber family for bringing supper to the Crawford family and Farm Rescue volunteers in Independence, Iowa!

It’s moments like these that build friendships and make the time we spend with the farm families we meet along the way so meaningful. We’re grateful for the people who make Farm Rescue about more than helping in the field. It’s about showing up for one another, sharing a meal, and reminding each other that farmers have friends. We’re grateful to have you in our corner!
