Please join us in welcoming Lissa to DiscoveryBound! We’re excited to introduce her as our new Volunteer & Curriculum Manager. Here’s a little more about Lissa and her new role:

“I have a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction and 25 years of experience in education. I have three sons, Calder Ledbetter, Fisher Ledbetter, and Aaron Nielsen, all of whom are currently in college (Calder and Fisher graduated from the NLC class of 2025U). I'll be working remotely from Venice, Florida, where I live with my husband, Steve, and three dogs. I'm thrilled to join the A/U family and the NLC team!”

What a fun day aboard the CO Railway Express! 🍂🚂

We had a wonderful turnout for an afternoon filled with beautiful fall foliage, an inspiring talk from Keb Bemis, and fun craft activities!

After the train ride, many of the group stayed to explore Georgetown, grab some ice cream, and enjoy even more time together. 🍦

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this such a special day! 🍁

What a special Wrap Up Weekend for NLC 2027J!🌟

The class gathered near Lake Tahoe for their final weekend together before graduation in January! From hiking through historic train tunnels and exploring Lake Tahoe to hot tubbing, bike rides, shared meals, and class reflection, 27J had a full weekend of fun. The group also enjoyed Sunday School, ACR planning, and a FaceTime talk from Bobby Lewis on “What Comes Next.”

We’re so grateful for the experiences that have brought NLC 2027J to this special point in their journey. Next up, graduation!

What an EPIC weekend!

We’re so grateful for the wonderful people, meaningful conversations and unforgettable experiences we shared together.

From inspiring talks with Chrissie Sydness Heining and Travis Thomas to paddle boarding, kayaking and soaking up the sun at Evermore Bay, there was so much to enjoy. 🌊☀️

We also had meaningful discussions about praying for the world and finding purpose in our careers before wrapping up the weekend at Universal’s Epic Universe!

So grateful for this group and all the memories we made together. 🌎💫

Meet our Volunteer of the Month, Lindsey Roder!

Lindsey is a DB WI Local Chapter Leader and NLC Mentor. Here’s what she shared about her favorite part of volunteering with DiscoveryBound:

“My favorite thing about being a DB Volunteer is seeing the joy, enthusiasm and genuine connection of people who are experiencing Christian Science in action. Our chapter spends time in nature, hosts inspirational bonfires, and we have even partnered with our local CS nursing facility to host a pizza party/game night and a Holy Guacamole taco/trivia night! These activities are a great way to share CS with our friends and family members who may be new to it or learning about it through us. It shows how much fun it can be to see divine Love in everyday life!”

Thank you, Lindsey!
