West Burb Wieners are going to be at the Great American Dog Show January 2nd, 3rd and 4th. We will be running dachshund races all three days, Fridays race will be at 11:15, Saturdays will be at 11:30, and Sundays race will be at 12:45 We will be there with III Dachshunds Brewing root beer, sampler packs and T-shirts. We will also be doing dog painting the example below created by our own Khealey. (No clean up needed) And perfect weather for dog sweaters, blankets and coats. West Burb Wieners will be in Villa Park this Saturday. We will be trying a new crafting experience for your dog. They will have a chance to express their inner Picasso as they create a one of a kind painting. You can see what Khealey did below. (Your dog will not be in direct contact with the paint so no cleanup required.) 😄 There is a $5 donation required.

**STATUS UNCHANGED**
ENDANGERED MISSING PERSON – VICTOR V. SALOV

Unfortunately, the status of this case remains unchanged. All of the tips and leads that we have received to date have not resulted in Victor being located. We continue to ask for the public's help in finding Mr. Salov and ask that you share his information.

The Will County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Victor V. Salov, a 36-year-old male reported missing from the residence he shares with his parents in Homer Glen.

Victor is described as a white male, 6’4” tall, weighing approximately 170 lbs., with brown eyes, long unkempt brown hair, and a long brown beard. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and black jeans.

Victor was last seen on July 15, 2025, when he was released from a hospital in New Lenox. He has not returned home since and was officially reported missing on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

Victor does not have a cell phone, bank accounts, credit/debit cards, or social media accounts. He has no vehicle, no known associates, and no current place of employment. He returned to Homer Glen three years ago after living in California.
Victor has a medical condition that places him in an endangered status.

If you see Victor, please call 9-1-1 immediately and provide his location so emergency services can respond.

West Burb Wieners will be attending the upcoming Great American Dog Show between September 5th to the 7th at Cantigny Park in Wheaton. We will be selling 3 Dachshund root beer, variety packs and T-shirts.

We will be running dachshund races on all three days at 2pm in the afternoon. The races on Friday are demonstrations only so you can try out the racing. The dachshunds that race on Saturday and Sunday will be running for prizes. There is no registration fee but a donation to our cause would be appreciated. If you are interested in having your dachshund race then please leave your name, your dachshund's name and age in the comments. You can also register at our booth on the day of the race. Please let us know which day you want to race on Saturday or Sunday.

Island Lake is holding it's Oktoberfest again this year. And as part of the event they will be hosting dachshund races again. The races will be run Saturday, Sept 28's at noon. The deadline for entry is September 20th.
