Dear Yellow Bag Donors,

We have wonderful news to share! Thanks to your generosity, our Yellow Bag donors contributed 1,137 pounds of food and necessities in April alone — and our cumulative total has now reached an incredible 32,549 pounds. That is a remarkable achievement, and it would not be possible without each and every one of you.

We are deeply grateful for your continued commitment to helping neighbors in need. Every bag you fill makes a real difference for families in our community.

🌟 A warm welcome to our newest Yellow Bag donors: Megan, Kim, Scott & Marcie, Toni, and Christina! We are so glad you have joined this amazing group of generous community members.

A NOTE FROM THE FOOD BANK
The Clatsop Community Food Bank is currently requesting boxed milk — any type is welcome! If you are able to include some in your next Yellow Bag, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you again for your incredible generosity. You are making our community stronger, one bag at a time.

May’s pickup date is May 21st. We have a couple of drivers that will be out of town. So you may receive a reminder message from a different person than usual. Thanks for understanding.

With gratitude,

Your Yellow Bag Pickup Team

Dear Yellow Bag Friends,

What an incredible community you are! Last month, together you donated 1,053 pounds of food and hygiene items — bringing our total since January 2021 to an astounding 31,412 pounds. Every bag on every porch adds up to something truly remarkable.

We are thrilled to welcome seven new donors to our growing family:
Jeanine V, Sandra V, Tammy L, Marilyn H, Janet T, Laura S, and Cathy P — welcome! You've joined amazing people across Knappa, Astoria, Warrenton, Seaside and Cannon Beach who are quietly and consistently making a difference.

The team at CCA Regional Food Bank wants you to know how genuinely grateful they are for your donations. Your contributions supplement what they receive from the Oregon Food Bank and other sources, helping them serve our neighbors across Clatsop County. Your yellow bags matter — more than you may know.

🛒 THE FOOD BANK ESPECIALLY NEEDS RIGHT NOW:
• Boxed milk (all types)
• Canned refried beans
• Canned foods with pull-tabs
• Deodorant/antiperspirant
• Sanitary pads and tampons
• Toothpaste
• Laundry detergent

If you'd like to claim your donations as a tax deduction, you may do so using your food purchase receipts and CCA Regional Food Bank's Tax ID: 93-1010260.

Thank you for being the heart of this program. We'll see you on pickup day!

With gratitude,
The Yellow Bag Pickup Team

Dear Yellow Bag Heroes,

With our February pickup, we crossed a remarkable milestone: more than 15 tons of nutritious food and essential items collected for our neighbors in need since January 2021. Fifteen tons. That is not just a number. It is cupboards filled, tables set, and worry eased for hundreds of families across Clatsop County.

In February alone, you donated 1,132 pounds. Because of you, the shelves at the Clatsop Community Action Food Bank stay stocked with healthy, nourishing options. And here is something that truly matters: over half of the Food Bank visitors are seniors living on fixed incomes. Your steady generosity is quite literally helping elders in our community stretch their dollars and maintain dignity.

We now have 95 dedicated donors, stretching from Knappa to Cannon Beach, quietly showing up for their neighbors month after month. That kind of consistency is powerful. It builds trust. It builds community. It builds hope.

To every one of you who sets out a yellow bag, coordinates a pickup, drives donations to Warrenton, or simply remembers to add a few extra items to your cart, thank you. You are part of something steady and good.

Our next pickup date is March 19th.

With deep gratitude,

Your NCCFP Pickup Team

Dear Yellow Bag Donors,

As we come to the close of another year, we want to pause and say thank you for the amazing generosity you’ve shown through the North Coast Community Food Project.

Together, this year alone you donated 9,793 pounds of nutritious food and essential items. Even more incredible — since we began in January 2021, your Yellow Bags have added up to 28,152 pounds of food and necessities for families and individuals in Clatsop County.

That generosity truly makes a difference. The team at the CCA Food Bank is always excited to see your bright yellow bags arrive, knowing just how many people they will help. Your kindness, consistency, and community spirit continue to inspire us, and we are genuinely humbled by your support.

We’d also love to share a small way to get involved if you’re ever interested. We are currently in need of a few backup Yellow Bag pickup drivers. Drivers spend a little time texting a donor list of about 10 households, then one morning each month pick up those Yellow Bags and deliver them to the CCA Food Bank in Warrenton. It’s simple, flexible, and incredibly helpful to keeping the program running smoothly.

If you might be available to help out occasionally or would like to learn more, please let us know — we’d love to hear from you.

A warm and happy Holiday Season to all of Clatsop County!

It’s time to get your Tax Decuctable monetary donations in.

Why donate to the North Coast Community Food Project of Oregon?

As of January 2025, our volunteer Food Donors and our Pickup Day volunteers have collected and delivered over 25,500 pounds of much-needed food and household essentials for the people of Clatsop County.

We hope that this 2025 Holiday Season you will consider a monetary donation to support our volunteers!

We are a complety volunteer-run monthly food donation drive. Every month our team of volunteers deliver over 1200 lbs of food and essential household items to the CCA Regional Food Bank in Warrenton. From there, those items are distributed to the network of food pantries and school programs throughout Clatsop County.

Our Volunteer Neighborhood Coordinators are the heart of what we do. They talk with friends and neighbors about the program, sign up new donors, hand out starter Yellow Bags, send reminders before pickup day, and deliver the much needed food and essential household items every month. We simply cannot do it without you.

All funds donated to the Food Project stay in Clatsop County!

The North Coast Community Food Project has very low overhead. We are a volunteer-run organization, but we need funds for purchasing our re-usable bags, “thank you/reminder” cards, and information for signing up new donors.

Please help us by visiting our website link and making a tax-deductible donation. You will receive a receipt for your taxes.
