Moving away from friends and family can be quite an adjustment. At GVSM, we value community — in fact, we endeavor to treat each other like family! 🤍 Many of our students form life-long friendships, and we create opportunities throughout the year to foster togetherness and fellowship. 🤝

Every Wednesday, we gather for our weekly tradition of Family Lunch 🍽️ in our break room or lounge. It’s a time when we step away from our work and enjoy meaningful time together. Additionally, we spend a lot of time serving alongside one another on missions projects 🌍✈️, which is an incredible way to experience new cultures and make a difference in the world.

Our South America Setup team just finished up an amazing trip! More meetings with local pastors, mayors, hotel managers, scouting festival locations, and so much more took place.

We are so thankful for all the groundwork that was done and for your prayers! 🙌

Peter Ratcliffe—missionary and founder of Upon the Waters—will be with us at REACH! Peter and his family have been serving in Paraguay since 2014, working closely with indigenous communities, and his session is one you don’t want to miss. His years of faithfulness, sacrifice, and obedience to the call of God will inspire and challenge you.

🇧🇷 Brazil Setup Trip Update + an AMAZING God story!

Our Brazil setup team officially arrived last week—and were welcomed at the airport by Pastor José Navarro, our South America Coordinator. He had already been on the ground handling logistics ahead of Dave and Parker’s arrival due to flight delays. We are so thankful for him and his 20+ years of working with us! 🙌

Their days in Brazil were full and fruitful, packed with key meetings and planning: hotel logistics, festival location scouting, translators, pastors, and more—all laying the groundwork for what’s to come.

✨ A powerful pastors meeting moment:
During the Brazil pastors meeting, a local pastor shared that years ago a preacher held a large crusade/conference and prophesied that Foz do Iguaçu—our ministry city—would one day experience a great revival. Since then, the pastors have been faithfully praying for that word to come to pass.

➡️ They shared that with our Global Ventures teams coming, they believe this could be the moment that revival begins. WOW. 🙌🙌🔥

We are standing in agreement with them and are so grateful for what God is already stirring in this beautiful city!

The setup team has now crossed over into Paraguay, where they’ll continue preparations through the end of the week. Stay tuned—God is moving! 🌎🔥

The REACH Conference is more than a missions conference. It’s a catalytic gathering where you’ll be equipped, inspired, and activated to take your place in the Great Commission.

Our South America Setup Team has successfully left Tulsa! ❄️🛫🙌

We can’t wait to receive updates from them these next two weeks as they continue preparing for our Brazil and Paraguay projects! 🇧🇷🇵🇾
