The mission of this organization is to celebrate diversity in the LGBTQ+ community of Greater Reading.

To support LGBTQ+ individuals through advocacy, education, and community engagement — celebrating our history, empowering our future, and ensuring everyone can live openly, authentically, and safely. Reading Pride Celebration is committed to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion by building a community that embraces and supports differences and seeks to eliminate racial oppression, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and other oppression.

What a beautiful evening of community, connection, and love! 🏳️‍🌈❤️

Reading Pride Celebration was honored to spend the evening with our friends at The LGBTQ Center of Reading at a wonderful fundraiser benefiting both of our organizations, hosted by All Souls ECC and Calvary United Church of Christ.

A huge thank-you to everyone who helped make the evening so special and to everyone who came out to support the important work both organizations do in our community. Your generosity helps us continue creating welcoming, affirming spaces and opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community throughout Berks County.

And what a gift it was to hear the incredibly beautiful music of Bobby Jo Valentine! 🎶 His music brought so much heart and meaning to the evening.

One lyric that especially captured the spirit of the night:
“We are all a part of something bigger than ourselves.” 💜

Thank you, All Souls ECC and Calvary United Church of Christ, for bringing our community together and for believing in the work we do. We are so grateful for your support, your kindness, and your commitment to creating a more loving and inclusive community.

Together, we are stronger. Together, we celebrate. Together, we make a difference. 🏳️‍🌈✨

Filmmaker and playwright, Santo D. Marabella, will have a production of his play, Getting COMPLETE produced at Theater for the New City, beginning in January 2027. For anyone in the Berks County and Lehigh Valley areas who would like to see the production, plans are being made for a bus trip on Sun, Jan 17, 2027. Pick-Up and Drop-Off will be in Reading and Bethlehem.

What a wonderful evening at the Sip, Sashay and Support event last night for the LGBTQ+ Center of Greater Reading!

Reading Pride Celebration was honored to be a guest and spend the evening celebrating community, connection, and authenticity. It was inspiring to see so many people come together to support one another, make new connections, and simply enjoy being in a welcoming space

A big round of applause to the entire center and board that organized a fantastic evening. Your dedication to creating inclusive spaces where our LGBTQ+ community can gather, celebrate, and thrive is truly appreciated and inspiring.
