Established in 1988 and incorporated in 1994, the Think Earth Environmental Education Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to helping communities create and maintain a sustainable environment through education. The Foundation initiates and oversees environmental projects and partnerships with businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, and public organizations. Think Ea
rth creates and makes available engaging materials and activities that teach environmental awareness and encourage environmental stewardship. At the core of Think Earth is an award-winning environmental curriculum that is now available free online. (Units for K through grade 2 are currently online; units for grades 3 through middle school will be available soon.) Think Earth Environmental Surveys for Home and School, which provide personalized recommendations on how to conserve energy, save water, and reduce waste and pollution, will also soon be available online. Other Think Earth projects include: Think Earth, It’s Magic Assembly Program for elementary schools; and Think Watershed, a marine-science field trip on a floating lab that provides students with an up-close look at the marine environment in Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbors.
