Children, like the rest of us, handle change best if it is expected and occurs in the context of a familiar routine. A predictable routine allows children to feel safe, and to develop a sense of mastery in handling their lives. As this sense of mastery is strengthened, they can tackle larger changes: walking to school by themselves, paying for a purchase at the store, going to sleepaway camp.

Start talking to your kids about the upcoming school year. What's new, different, the same? Start working small changes into your family routine.

We work with various organizations who are trained in areas of prevention of human trafficking. A key part in prevention is teaching vulnerable young people, primarily girls, ways of avoiding the traps of predators who would harm them. We fund life skills training to empower young people to have definite choices in life that will also enable them to be self-sufficient and less likely to become victims due to economic desperation.

We also provide support to individuals and organizations that are involved in the rescuing aspect of this problem, to help victims who are rescued to heal and start a new life.

Community Resource - This program serves special needs and disabled individuals in Gallatin County, maintaining their dignity and independence. Services include meeting basic household needs. People in need of assistance are primarily referred to us by our partner agencies and medical practitioners.
