Our Mission Statement: As a club, our goal is to promote the presence of the Health and Human Services Department on campus at CCC, as well as the helping professionals in the community at large. To provide a fourm for the dissemination of information regarding, but not limited to, available resources, educational and vocational opportunities in the Health and Human Services field. To foster aware

ness of the need for peace and non-violence, as well promoting awareness in addressing issues relating to the diagnosis and treatment of substance abuse and mental illness.

Internship opportunities!
Paid or unpaid, all are rich and exciting experiences at longstanding organizations and meet the requirements for HHS230/DualDiagnosis Clinical Internship.
If you want to apply to the State (ACCBC - Addiction Counselor Certification Board) for AOD certification or are more interested in the Mental Health direction, there is an internship for you.
Here are a few of the opportunities: THE HUME CENTER; PROGRESS FOUNDATION; CENTER POINT: BAY AREA RESCUE MISSION; CONTRA COSTA COUNTY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH; MEN AND WOMEN OF PURPOSE. Remember, in addition to the learning and growth that happens in an internship, many organizations have a practice of hiring from their intern pool.

Press Release: Contra Costa Community College District Achieves Legislation to Outreach to Underserved Populations in Contra Costa County.

Thanks to the passage of AB 2627 (Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan), can move forward in partnership with Contra Costa County to reach military veterans, emancipated foster youth, formerly incarcerated or justice-involved, and the unemployed or underemployed about the numerous opportunities to get the education they need to qualify for good paying jobs in the community.
