Captain Creek Oklahoma Home and Community Education Providing education about family and consumer issues, and community service, OHCE promotes family values and helps to shape communities.

Captain Creek OHCE maintains the Captain Creek School building erected in 1919. An annual homecoming event welcomes back former Captain Creek students and their families. Captain Creek OHCE has also organized or supplemented many community projects throughout the years. We are dedicated to making our community a great place for families to live and grow.

In honor of OHCE week Captain Creek OHCE and Wellston OHCE will be hosting a water marbling class. What is OHCE? It is Oklahoma Home and Community Education. Each month we learn about how to make our families, communities and the world a better place. Monthly lessons are provided through OSU Extension Office and include topics such as cooking, gardening, recycling, canning, composting, elder care and list goes on and on! Membership brochures and forms will be available at our activity if you are interested in joining.
Come and learn the basics of water marbling. We will be marbling paper to learn the technique. You can marble many things after learning the basics. To sign up, call the OSU extension office

Our Story

Captain Creek Oklahoma Home and Community Education is an organization committed to education about family and consumer issues, community service, and bringing friends together. OHCE has a strong history of promoting family values and shaping communities.

OHCE partners with Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Services. County extension educators in Family and Consumer Sciences work closely with local OHCE groups to bring the latest research-based information from Oklahoma State University to each community.

Information presented covers topic areas such as cultural enrichment, health, nutrition, emergency management, parenting and financial management. Local OHCE groups plan activities each year aimed at community improvement.
