Hiring a teen babysitter this summer? 🧸☀️
Before you head out the door, make sure your babysitter knows where to find important emergency numbers, including Poison Help: 1-800-222-1222.
Save the number in their phone, leave it on the fridge, and review what to do if a child gets into medicine, cleaning products, cosmetics, or other household items.
A little preparation can make a big difference. 💙

Congratulations to our Specialists in Poison Information on passing the Certified Specialist in Poison Information (CSPI) exam through America's Poison Centers! 🎉

Congratulations to Daniel on becoming a newly certified CSPI! With that, our staff is now 100% certified!

This is not an easy test. Specialists must have extensive experience handling poison exposure calls and then complete a rigorous national certification exam covering toxicology, medications, household products, emergency response, and poison treatment. The exam includes more than 160 questions and takes hours to complete.

We also want to congratulate Cesar and Oscar on successfully re-certifying. CSPIs must retest every 7 years, demonstrating continued expertise and staying current in the ever-changing field of toxicology and poison management.

This advanced certification helps to make sure our poison center continues providing a high level of specialized care and expertise to our patients!

We are incredibly proud of all of our specialists for their hard work, dedication, and outstanding accomplishment! 👏
