🧡 Still Waiting Wednesday: Kipper 🧡
Meet Kipper, a distinguished 6-year-old gentleman with luxurious locks and enough charm to make you forgive him for ignoring you occasionally.
We're going to be completely honest about why Kipper is still waiting for his forever home: he does terribly at the shelter.
The shelter environment stresses him out. New people, unfamiliar sounds, constant activity, being transported back and forth. It's simply not his thing. When potential adopters wanted to meet him, his foster mom would bring him to the shelter, and every single time he would become overwhelmed and anxious. The cat you see in that environment is not the real Kipper.
The real Kipper is the cat his foster mom got to know and love. The one who relaxed in his safe space, enjoyed regular brushing sessions, happily accepted all the attention he felt he deserved, and let his sweet personality shine through. She patiently worked through his mats, kept his beautiful coat looking handsome, and gave him the stability he craves.
Kipper isn't asking for much. He'd love a calm home where he can settle in and be himself. He can coexist with a cat or two, but he'd also be perfectly happy as your one and only. This dapper gentleman just needs someone willing to look past his shelter stress and see the wonderful cat hiding underneath. After all, some cats don't make a good first impression in a chaotic environment. Some cats need a little grace, a little patience, and a place to finally exhale.
The good news? Kipper has just moved into Wheaton Petco, where visitors can meet him in a calmer, less stressful environment. If you've been considering this handsome guy, now is the perfect time to stop by and get to know the real Kipper. We think you'll find he's worth the wait.
