Have you met Tammi? This petite mama is so small she almost looks like a kitten herself! 💕 You can often find her keeping watch from her favorite spot on top of the Cat Room cages, taking in all the action below.

After doing an amazing job raising her kittens, Tammi is ready for a forever home of her own. She's sweet, adorable, and deserves a family that will spoil her as much as she spoiled her babies.

❤️ **JUNO UPDATE: THREE DAYS OF PROGRESS!** ❤️

It's been three days since our last update on Juno, and we have some wonderful news to share!

Our sweet girl has continued to improve, and her veterinary team is increasingly encouraged by her progress. In fact, this morning her vet told us, **"I think today is the best she has looked."** ❤️

For those who have been following Juno's journey, you know just how critically ill she has been. Following emergency surgery to remove her severely infected uterus, Juno has been fighting sepsis, significant anemia, and the effects of an overwhelming infection. She required a blood transfusion, intensive hospitalization, IV antibiotics, and around-the-clock monitoring.

**And now, we're seeing some incredible progress!**

🩸 **Her red blood cell percentage (hematocrit) has climbed to 29%!** Just a few days ago, it was 11% before her transfusion, rising to 21% afterward. This is an incredibly encouraging improvement.

🦠 **Her white blood cell count has dropped from 53 to 27!** While still elevated, this is a substantial improvement and an encouraging sign that her body is responding to treatment.

❤️ **Her overall condition continues to improve.** Her stool is becoming more formed, she's looking better clinically, and while some abdominal fluid remains, there are no longer large pockets requiring drainage.

**So what's next?**

Juno has been receiving IV fluids with dextrose supplementation to help maintain her blood sugar. Today is expected to be her final day receiving 2.5% dextrose. Tomorrow, her veterinary team plans to discontinue that support and closely monitor how well she maintains her blood sugar on her own.

If she continues to do well, **Juno could be discharged as early as tomorrow evening or Tuesday morning!** She would then return for repeat bloodwork three days after discharge.

We're not declaring victory just yet. Juno has been through an extraordinary amount, and her recovery will still require careful monitoring. But compared to where we were just a few days ago, this is the kind of progress we've been hoping and praying for.

Throughout this journey, we've said that we would continue fighting for Juno as long as she continued fighting for herself. And this little girl has given us every reason to keep going.

We're cautiously optimistic that our next update might just be the one where we get to tell you Juno is coming home. ❤️🐾

🐾Foster Friday: Help a Scared Cat Find Their Confidence 🐾
Meet Yen. When she arrived in our care, she was so terrified that after escaping during intake, she ran right back into her carrier. The shelter was simply too scary for her. With patience, a quiet foster home, and the freedom to move at her own pace, Yen has blossomed. She's building confidence, learning to trust, and even discovering the joy of play.
Now we need more fosters for cats like Yen. Fern and Sprinkles are looking for socialization fosters, and Teenie Bop, who has spent over a year in our cat room, could benefit tremendously from one-on-one attention in a home environment. You don't need to "fix" these cats. You just need to provide a safe space, patience, and kindness while they learn that people can be trusted.

Recently, our sweet Juno experienced a devastating medical emergency. She became critically ill and endured something no animal should ever have to go through.

Her experience is a heartbreaking reminder of why spaying and neutering matters.

Pyometra, a severe infection of the uterus, can quickly become fatal if left untreated. Spaying prevents this condition and eliminates the risk of ovarian and uterine diseases. It also eliminates the risk of ovarian cancer and greatly reduces the risk of mammary tumors when performed early. Neutering eliminates the risk of testicular cancer.

It’s also about the emotional and financial toll of an emergency no pet parent ever expects.
