Why MOBILE?

Fifteen years ago, we set out to solve a simple but important problem: increasing awareness and access for people living with untreated hearing loss, tinnitus, and other hearing health conditions.

For many, hearing healthcare can feel out of reach. There may not be a clinic nearby. They may not know where to start. Transportation, time, and resources can all become barriers.

That’s why mobile matters.

To the thousands of people, grantmakers, partners, volunteers, and companies who have invested in this mission—this week is HUGE because of YOU.

Our previous mobile unit helped us serve thousands, but we needed something sleeker, easier on the road, and better suited for rural communities and VA clinics where space can be limited.

Thanks to , that vision is becoming reality.

This Thursday, we pick up our new mobile hearing health clinic and begin the next chapter—bringing care directly to veterans and communities across Ohio and beyond.

The 10th ANNUAL Hearoes Tour!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. We’re honored to carry this mission forward.

When Baby Olivia’s parents reached out to our LexCARE Hearing Care Team, both Care Team Leader and Founder/Director could not have been more honored to walk alongside their family on Olivia’s journey to hear and bilateral cochlear implants surgery. 💙

Olivia was already receiving excellent care through , but her family specifically wanted to connect with us because of Lexi’s story. What they didn’t know at the time was that Care Team Leader, Molli, is also a mom to a child with bilateral cochlear implants — making this connection even more personal and meaningful.

From the very beginning, Molli was there every step of the way. She answered calls and texts, helped navigate questions, offered encouragement, and supported Olivia’s family through every stage leading up to cochlear implant surgery.

This is exactly why our Care Team exists.

At LexCARE, we are not a call center. We are real people who understand the emotional side of hearing loss and hearing care. We are guides, advocates, and hearing-for-life navigators. We become your friend in the process — available for the questions, the fears, the victories, and the moments in between. Anytime. Anywhere.

Because hearing care should always begin with human connection. 💙

And now… watch her go! 🦻✨
Learning language, discovering sounds, and turning every day into a new HEARING adventure.

Stories like Olivia’s are only possible because of families, donors, and supporters who believe every child deserves the opportunity to hear, connect, and thrive. Donors like the Easterday family, the Parham family, and so many others helped make this miracle possible.

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

At The LexCare Hearing Foundation, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve veterans and military families through The Hearoes Tour. Across VA clinics, veteran organizations, community events, and outreach programs nationwide, we meet veterans where they are — providing free hearing screenings, education, guidance, and ongoing Care Team support.

Hearing loss, tinnitus, and communication challenges impact so many who served. For us, a screening is never “just a test.” It’s the beginning of restoring connection with loved ones, confidence, quality of life, and hope.

This year alone, our mission is to help more than 10,000 people hear again through free screenings, advocacy, education, and support — with veterans remaining at the heart of that mission.

Today, we pause to remember those we lost and honor all who served.
Thank you for your sacrifice. We remember. 🇺🇸

From our founder, :

“Memorial Day weekend is more than cookouts and an extra day off and it’s deeply personal to the work we do everyday helping hear.

Yesterday, while getting ready to get on a boat to enjoy family time, I was the last one to walk down to the ramp. And God perfectly orchestrated the delay.

An elderly veteran who lives at the campgrounds next to the dock road down on his wheelchair asking everyone if they ‘found his phone.’

I saw his Vietnam veteran hat, so of course I went over to chat. Then I saw his .

I asked him how he hears with them & he replied ‘I just wish I had the kind that had Bluetooth’.

I asked how long it had been since his last upgrade— it had been years. He said he has a hard time making appointments and ‘doesn’t want to fool with it because it can be a difficult process.’

I pointed down at my daughter, Lexi, shared her story of misinformation and gaps— how she miraculously hears thanks to her & shared more about our free services. OUR LexCARE TEAM DIFFERENCE.

I gave him my card & asked that he text me— I would have our Care Team Manager, Molli, help him make a follow up appointment.

The Central Alabama VA system & Audiology led by Chief of Audiology, Dr. Daniel Bell, provide impeccable care, but sometimes vets just need a hearing advocate to help walk them through the process. AND THAT’S WHAT WE DO EVERYDAY!

So, this weekend, sstop and thank a veteran for their service. Let them share and talk. Little things make this world, and others, better.”

PS. We found his phone!

You can help us reach ONE MILLION EARS!
Our Hearoes Tour is proud to announce HEAROES DAYS!

Over the next 12 months, we’re hosting community-wide Hearoes Days events:

What is a Hearoes Day?

Hearoes Days are community-wide celebrations of hearing health, hope, and human connection. These events bring together families, veterans, seniors, local businesses, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, food trucks, music, fun activities, and inspiring stories — all centered around one mission:
helping more people hear again.

Each Hearoes Day features:
• Free hearing screenings inside our mobile hearing health unit
• Community booths and local business sponsors
• Food trucks, music, family-friendly activities, and outreach
• Opportunities to hear powerful stories from individuals impacted by hearing loss
• Education, support, and resources for veterans, seniors, families, and underserved communities

Businesses and organizations can sponsor booths, engage directly with the community, and help support hearing health outreach in their city.

These events directly support The Hearoes Tour and The LexCare Hearing Foundation’s mission to provide free hearing screenings, education, advocacy, and Care Team support to more than 10,000 people this year alone.

In select cities, Hearoes Days will conclude with special “Songwriters in the Round” performances featuring Nashville songwriters sharing music and stories connected to hope, resilience, and hearing health.

Coming Soon:
• Columbus, OH — Saturday, June 13 (location announced next week)
• Akron, OH — July 11 (location announcement soon)
• Lexington, KY
• Washington, DC
• Charleston, SC
