When an officer is lost in the line of duty not only does a community lose a protector, but a mother and father lose a son, a brother or sister loses a sibling, and a son or daughter lose a parent.

On behalf of Chief Turner and the officers and staff of the Ripley Police Department we offer our heart felt condolences to the Selmer Police Department and McNairy County Sheriff's Department for the loss of a brother in blue. Our prayers go out to the members of the community and the personal family and friends of the fallen.

We have your watch sir.

The National Day of Prayer for Law Enforcement Officers is an annual observance that falls on the third Friday of June. It was established to encourage people to pray for the men and women serving as law enforcement officers. On this day, communities come together to pray for the officers’ protection, guidance, and the well-being of their families.

Please take a moment today and pray for our LEO’s and their precious families!!! 🖤💙🖤
