ARF - Animal Rescue Foundation A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation is a non-profit rescue group with a mission to help homeless animals.

A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3), no-kill humane society. Our family of volunteers is dedicated to rescuing, fostering, and caring for homeless dogs and cats while we find them their forever homes. We promote spay/neuter programs to help reduce pet overpopulation and work within communities throughout Illinois to assist and educate the public about responsible pet ownership. As a proud participant in the nationwide “No More Homeless Pets” initiative our goal is to help bring about a time when all pets are valued and

At A.R.F., we've seen firsthand how a little patience, kindness, and a second chance can completely transform a cat's life. Behind every rescue is a team of dedicated volunteers, fosters, adopters, and supporters who believe that every cat matters.

This 4-year-old, 50 lb Pit Bull Terrier has already been let down once. Now, he’s looking for a home where he can feel safe, chew on his favorite toys, and learn that he’s finally here to stay. 🦴🐾

What's better than one adorable kitten? TWO, of course! 🥹💗 Meet Anya and Dimitri, the sweetest brother-and-sister duo looking for a forever home where they can stay side by side!

These two may have different personalities, but that's exactly what makes them the perfect pair! 🎀 Anya is the outgoing little sweetheart who loves attention, cuddles, and following her favorite humans around. She's always ready for playtime and isn't shy about asking for a little extra love! 💕

Meanwhile, 💙 Dimitri is her gentle, slightly shy brother who just needs a little patience and reassurance to let his personality shine. Once he feels comfortable, he enjoys chasing toys, watching birds, and spending quality time with his favorite companion, Anya! 🐦🐾

🫎 Handsome Moose, is a new ARF resident who’s 3–4 years old German Rottweiler and 100 lbs of giant teddy bear 🧸! Rescued as a breeder release, he’s learning to love the good life: backyard sniffing, sunbathing, butt scratches, and ALL the attention!💕

🐶 Good with all size dogs (no cat experience)
🧒🏻 Patient with little humans
🏡 Crates well & is learning his house manners

Let’s meet our pups 🦴

💜 JazziBee is letting her personality shine, and this little lady has opinions! A little bossy and a whole lot loving, she’s still nervous around unfamiliar visitors, but her family loves watching her blossom. Her favorite buddy? Her human’s 5 year old grandson. The feeling is mutual! 🥰

🐶 Archie (formerly Cole) is coming up on one year with his family! This tall, mini schnauzer LOVES other dogs and sticks close to his favorite person. He’s a little shy with new people, but his confidence keeps growing. 💜

✨ Via (formerly Tinker Bell) has a little surprise in her adoption story! Her family thought she was around 10 when they adopted her, but her microchip records revealed she was 15. Now almost 16½, this sweet, spunky girl still keeps everyone on their toes and completely in love! 💕

Thank you to these wonderful families for sharing their updates and giving our alumni homes where they can be themselves. Happy, and loved sounds pretty perfect to us! 🐾

Fetch, snuggles, and the cutest crazy hair... Alfie has it all!

Meet Alfie, a 3-month-old Mauzer weighing just 6 pounds! His name is short for Alfalfa, thanks to his adorable crazy hair.

Alfie is a bundle of energy who loves to play, especially fetch with mini tennis balls, golf balls, or regular tennis balls. But when playtime is over, he loves nothing more than snuggling up with his people.

He does great with other dogs and loves people, although he can be a little shy at first. He’s doing great on walks and is still working on potty training, but he’s been VERY good about using p*e pads! Alfie would do best in a home with someone who can be with him more often than not.
