At just 4 months old and 4.8 pounds, adorable Austin should have spent his puppyhood learning that people are kind and the world is a safe place. Instead, he and his brother Benson came from a puppy mill, where they had very little human interaction.

Every day he gets a little braver, and it’s impossible not to root for this tiny Maltipoo puppy as he discovers what love feels like.

This little guy loves two things most: his brother Benson and making doggy friends. Big dogs? Small dogs? Medium dogs? Love them! Cats, kids…. He gets along with everyone!

Austin may not be ready to be scooped up and cuddled just yet, but with patience, love, and plenty of treats, this little guy is sure to blossom. And he has already mastered sleeping quietly in his crate at night, and is making great progress with potty training and is eager to learn.

Austin would absolutely love to stay with his best friend and brother, Benson, but because they’re still young puppies, they can be adopted separately as well. If you’re interested, apply to adopt Austin (or adopt this dynamic duo)!

Nana. That's the name, and he's sticking with it 😹✨

This handsome guy has fully embraced his role as a professional cuddle consultant, specializing in naps, head boops, snack supervision, and reminding humans when it's time for affection. (Hint: it's always time for affection.)

At 3 years old, Nana has mastered the art of being everyone's best friend. Dogs? 🐶 Love them. Cats? 🐱 Happy to share the spotlight. Kids? 👧🧒 Excellent cuddle companions. If you've got a lap, Nana is ready to claim it.

Tigress spent her time raising a litter of four, but these days she's focused on something much more important: soaking up all the love and attention she can get. 🥰 Whether she's curled up in a cozy spot for a nap or following you around for pets, this sweet girl is happiest when she's with her people.

He didn't choose this. 💔

Jaxon is a 9.5-year-old, 19 lb Shih Tzu who was surrendered after his family's child developed allergies. He grew up with them since puppyhood... and he doesn't understand why he's here.

What he does know? How to walk perfectly on a leash, follow commands, cuddle like a pro, and be the best reason to come home. He's good with kids, cats, and dogs. All he asks for in return is that you don't leave him alone too long.

This sweet senior just wants his people back. Will you be them? 🐾

🐈 🍪 Who isn’t a cookie fan? Like the infamous Samoa cookie, this sweet 8 year old gorgeous cat, won’t be available for long!

If you’re looking for the perfect mix of independent lady and affectionate best friend, Samoa is your girl. This reddish-brown tabby weighs in at 13 pounds and has the most hypnotizing green eyes! 👀

She’s happy to entertain herself while you’re busy, but when it’s time for attention, she’ll happily cash in on all the pets and brushies you can provide, even if she’s not a fan of being held. Her favorite activities include chasing wand toys, enjoying catnip-filled goodies, birdwatching from the window, and carrying on adorable conversations with her humans using her impressive collection of chirps, trills, and kitty commentary- she’s quite vocal when she wants to be! She can also be found as the small adorable lump in your blanket- fun and a little mischievous in the BEST way!

While she can be a little shy around people with deeper voices, Samoa warms up beautifully with patience and kindness.

Marty is searching for a very special family to help him continue learning the world can be a safe & loving place. As you can see in this video, he has sooo much love to give and has started the process of trusting humans! And his little pouty face is sure to make you fall in love!

When he first arrived at ARF, he was terrified, unsure, but is progressing daily and is beginning to show his adorable, quirky personality. When his foster mom calls his name, he’ll peek out to say hello before scampering back to what has become his favorite luxury in life—a cozy bed.

Marty is 20 lbs and about 3-4 years old and currently pad trained- working hard on potty training outside. He’ll need a securely fenced yard where he can explore, build confidence, and another dog in the home to show him the ropes, would be ideal.

If you’re willing to give Marty a few weeks of patience and understanding, he’ll give you years of loyalty, love, and gratitude. Oh, and if you’re a Cubs fan, even better. Marty seems ready to spend his future curled up beside you, cheering on the home team. ⚾❤️🐾
