Building bug hotels, building community🐛🌿🐝

This weekend, our Community Connectors brought families together for a Saturday of creativity, nature, and a whole lot of fun. From our youngest builders to our biggest helpers, children from toddler to E1 worked side by side to create habitats for our backyard friends.

A big thank-you to S & S Metal Recyclers II and for donating materials for our bug hotels, including the cans and wood blocks that helped bring this project to life♻️

In our Montessori setting, we act as role models for children to see real examples of what they are asked to practice. Taking care of our bigger community is no different. FVMS is accepting donations all month to support Mutual Ground. 💜

While these toddlers enjoy the process and find satisfaction in the consistent movement, the adults recognize development of balance, stamina, collaboration, and confidence. In this moment they are truly immersed in their work.

At FVMS we support children with the resources, guidance, and time they need to explore their natural desire to learn.

Our back-to-school picnic last week brought our Montessori community together for an afternoon of fun, connection, and plenty of time for kids and families to simply enjoy being together.

Community is at the heart of our school, and we love having opportunities like this to strengthen established connections and begin building new ones.
