Want to see the impact of NDAD’s Gibbens Memorial Grant in action?

The 2 p.m. matinee of The Wizard of Oz is happening this Sunday, September 27, and will feature a sensory-friendly production and ASL interpreters, helping make live theater more accessible for all. Tickets can be purchased on their website.

As a Spring 2025 Gibbens Grant recipient, the Empire Arts Center used grant funding to help make this accessible theater experience possible!

Every number has a story.

In 2025, $150,742 was awarded to 30 organizations across North Dakota through our grant opportunities. South Valley and Rural Cass Special Education Units are one of those partners, utilizing the funding from the Gibbens Grant to send their co-ability teams to compete in the ABLE Games—the region’s first all-inclusive functional fitness competition.
