Looking back two weeks ago to the Teaching Children Effectively, Level 1 intensive course in Valley City.

One student, a children's ministry volunteer in her church, wrote to us, "We can already see a big difference in our church's children ministry from the few small things we have been able to implement so far!"

Last week the 1st Teaching Children Effectively Level 1 (TCE1) class was taught in North Dakota in over 20 years! TCE1 is a 33 hr college level course that trains children ministry workers in how to teach a Bible lesson, how to teach a memory verse, how to teach songs, how to share the gospel, how to run a children's class, and so much more.

It is an intensive but such a helpful class for anyone volunteering in Good News Club, teaching Sunday School, teaching Awana, or any ministry to elementary aged kids.

These 6 students put in the work, while 5 of us staff worked hard to teach them the methods we had learned.

Watch out North Dakota, the Lord is doing great things! Having more people trained in the gospel, is only the beginning.

☀ We're praising the Lord for a fruitful summer of ministry.

Over 1,100 kids in North Dakota heard the Good News about Jesus through backyard Bible clubs, day camps, and overnight camp!

We're grateful for the vision and mission of STEER Inc! Through partnerships with ranchers and farmers, we're able to guide kids to Jesus.

We're praising the Lord for growth in Good News Clubs statewide. Over 150 more kids than last year attended a club this school year!

Check out this news story about one of our growing clubs in Bismarck!

(Special thanks to KFYR for sharing the good news about the Good News Club! And to local CEF director JoAnne, club leader Hannah, and her volunteer team for their great work!)

For the past six years, Jody Kerzman has been bringing us “good news” from throughout our viewing area. So imagine her excitement to learn there is a Good News Club at a local elementary school. MORE: https://www.kfyrtv.com/2026/05/04/its-really-blossomed-good-news-club-grows-five-students-30/
