This week is Fire Prevention Week, and we’re using the moment to spotlight one often-overlooked risk: battery fires. 🔋🔥

Improperly stored or discarded batteries can put homes, communities, sanitation workers, and waste facilities at risk. Take a few minutes to check your battery-powered devices, store batteries safely, and turn in used batteries at a proper drop-off location.

To learn more about safe battery disposal, visit https://batterysafetynow.org/, and remember to Skip the Bin! Turn Your Batteries In! Every battery turned in is one less risk for your community.
