A translator does far more than repeat words. They help people ask questions, explain their needs, understand their care, and connect with someone who has come to serve.

We appreciate the translators who help our teams communicate with clarity and compassion. Their work makes each encounter more personal.

Children remember when someone takes time to learn their name, play a game, listen, or tell them they matter.

We pray that every child we meet through Island Impact Ministries will know they are precious to God. Thank you to the volunteers and local leaders who give them their attention and care.

“Let the little children come to Me.” —Matthew 19:14 NKJV

At 105 years old, Doña Yiyo has a new home!

These before-and-after photos show more than a construction project—they represent safety, dignity, comfort, and hope for a very special woman in our community.

We are deeply grateful to our ministry partners, mission-team volunteers, local contractors, and everyone whose generosity and hard work made Doña Yiyo’s new home possible. Together, we are building more than houses—we are changing lives through the love of Christ.

Behind every photograph is a person with a name, a family, and a story.

Island Impact Ministries exists to serve people—not numbers. Whether we are providing medical care, improving a home, encouraging a child, or praying with a family, we want each person to experience dignity, compassion, and the love of Jesus.

“Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” —Matthew 25:40

Thank you for helping us make a personal impact, one life at a time.

Could God be calling your church or group to serve in the Dominican Republic?

Mission teams can participate in medical outreach, home improvements, children’s ministry, community visits, and other practical expressions of Christ’s love. Every team brings unique gifts, but each shares the same purpose—to serve others and glorify Jesus.

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.’” —Isaiah 6:8 NKJV

Every person has a story, and every family deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Our goal is not simply to meet a temporary need, but to let people know that God sees them, loves them, and has not forgotten them. Thank you for helping us share that message through practical acts of kindness.

The relationships our Dominican staff build matter deeply. They know the communities, listen to families, and remain present long after a visiting team returns home.

Today, please pray for our local staff and leaders. Ask God to give them wisdom, strength, and joy as they serve their neighbors.

“Let us not grow weary while doing good.” —Galatians 6:9

Every mission trip begins with people willing to say yes. They give their time, bring their skills, and step into unfamiliar places with a desire to serve.

We thank God for the volunteers who have joined Island Impact Ministries in the Dominican Republic. Their willingness has opened doors for care, friendship, and conversations about Jesus.

We’re getting closer—only $12,700 remains in our New Truck Payoff Fund!

Our new ministry truck is already carrying teams, staff, tools, medical supplies, and construction materials into the communities we serve throughout the Dominican Republic. Every trip represents another opportunity to meet practical needs and share the love of Jesus.

“And how shall they preach unless they are sent?” —Romans 10:15 NKJV

Would you prayerfully consider helping us reach the finish line? Every gift, large or small, moves us closer to fully funding this essential ministry vehicle.

The work of Island Impact Ministries continues throughout the year because of our faithful Dominican staff.
