One Eighty Prevent. Reach. Develop. Purpose

One Eighty exists to bring hope, love and opportunity to people and communities impacted by crisis, poverty, or addiction.
(1)

One Eighty equips people facing crisis, poverty and addiction to invest in healthy relationships, overcome barriers to freedom, and encounter a life of hope in Christ. Mission

One Eighty prevents crisis, poverty, and addiction before it happens, reaches out to those who are in crisis, poverty, and addiction and develops those who were in crisis, poverty, and addiction. We do this by helping people build a relationship with Jesus Christ and assisting local churches and organizations to connect with their communities. Vision

We are working to set people and communities free from crisis, poverty, and addiction. To prevent crisis, poverty, and addiction before it happens. To reach out to those in crisis, poverty, and addiction. To develop those who were in crisis, poverty, and addiction.

Many of you know Boone. His recovery journey began at One Eighty more than a decade ago, and this Friday, he’ll stand before us as a graduate.

There have been years of struggle and loss along the way. Boone says he’s gotten through it with “mentors, good friends and his new brothers.” We’re so proud of him for continuing to put the work in to reach this moment.

Come celebrate Boone and nine other graduates THIS Friday! We’d love for you to hear their stories and help us celebrate how far they’ve come.

Meet and greet with our new Executive Director at 5 PM
Graduation at 6:30 PM
601 N. Marquette St.

Welcome to everyone!

“I’m proud of you.”

Devon hears those words from her supportive father every day now and they mean so much.

Just a year ago, Devon was in prison in Mitchellville. At one point in her life, she spent seven and a half years straight behind bars. She remembers a phone call with her dad, whose love and encouragement reminded her that a different future was possible and worth working toward.

This Friday, Devon will share her testimony as she graduates from One Eighty alongside eight others. We are so PROUD of her and every graduate for the work they’ve put in.

Help us pack the room on Friday to remind each graduate that “We’re proud of you, too.”

Meet & Greet with Executive Director starting at 5:00 PM.
Graduation at 6:30 PM

What a great finale to service project season with some of my favorites from Redeemer Lutheran Church!

This crew (not all pictured) organized our library so residents can easily find their next good read and brought the season full circle by finishing the HUGE basement project they started at the beginning of it!

We’re so grateful for this community of people who show up with open hearts, willing hands, and so much love for One Eighty. Thank you, Redeemer, for the work you accomplished and the joy you bring every time you serve. Your partnership means so much!

Rainy, chilly mornings can make it hard to get out of bed before 6AM and be ready to work at 7AM. Am I right?!

Before heading out this morning, the guys gathered for a quick Bible study and prayer led by Tom. He encouraged them to remember WHY they are here and keep their eyes on the Lord as they take their next step forward.

Such a good reminder for all of us - even on the mornings when we’d rather stay under the covers! Keep showing up: keep trusting God. Keep going.

We’re so proud of our guys for leading by example, encouraging one another, and putting in the hard work - both on our crews and in the choices they make every day to build a better future.

After a late night at the Benefit Concert, everyone was up to hit the ground running at the NAMI Walk bright and early. Mental health is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts and the hearts of our people! They loved being able to participate.

WOW, can we just say THANK YOU?!

To all of our incredible supporters, the sponsors, to the Quad Cities, to YouthHope kids and staff, to Bridge Cities Church, to the incredible band, to our One Eighty staff and community, to the Lord — THANK YOU for making last night’s concert our best!

Not only did we have an amazing turnout, but we also raised more money than ever before at our Benefit Concert, coming just dollars away from reaching our $50,000 goal! We thank the Lord for your generosity this morning, and pray that He was lifted high last night.

We truly couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you. We are so incredibly grateful for this community and the way you continue to show up for One Eighty!

Some days just leave you speechless.

Two groups from Modern Woodmen of America came out and got to work and when they were done, they had filled two massive dumpsters. One per group.

Our staff couldn't believe the final result:
"I'm going to pass out."
"I don't believe it."
"It's never been that clean."

There are honestly no words for how grateful we are. Partners like this take such a heavy burden off our staff and make it possible for us to keep showing up for the day-to-day work. Thank you ALL for making this possible and caring about the work we do at One Eighty.

The One Eighty + YouthHope Benefit Concert this Friday is going to be incredible for many reasons….and one of them is this guy.

Phillip will share his testimony of how God met him in the darkest moments and brought him back to life. And he’ll share the original song he composed, “Exile,” that he wrote during that experience.

It’s a heartfelt praise of our God who leaves the 99 and chases down the one.

If you are in need of a reminder that God is not done working in your life, that He sees your pain and He moves toward you - join us for this evening of worship and praise. Tickets are on sale now and will be available at the door.
