METAvivor Research and Support Inc. Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) research, awareness and support. Don’t ignore stage IV!
(207)

Though 30% of patients with breast cancer (BC) will go on to develop metastatic – also known as stage IV or advanced – breast cancer, only about 2-5% of total cancer research funding goes toward any metastatic disease, according to an analysis of cancer organizations from the Western world. Efforts to spread the word about MBC should go beyond Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Be sure to share this p

age to let your friends and family know how they can continue to help the MBC community! Visit our website at www.metavivor.org to learn more about the important work that we do. While most comments will remain posted, METAvivor reserves the right to moderate the conversation on our page.

Our goal is to have a trained P2P leader in every state, making it easier for people living with MBC to find connection and community close to home.

President Kelly Shanahan, MD, shares: "For many people living with metastatic breast cancer, access to oral therapies is essential. As cancer treatments in pill form become increasingly common standard of care therapies, no patient should pay more for the treatment their doctor prescribes simply because it is taken by mouth rather than delivered by injection or infusion. We applaud Senator Smith and Senator Moran for their leadership in ensuring cost is never a barrier to accessing the treatment their provider prescribes."

We applaud Senator Smith and Senator Moran for their leadership in advancing the Cancer Drug Parity Act (H.R. 4101/S. 5004). Take action today through our VoterVoice Action Center. Link in bio.

Your voice can make a difference.

Tell Congress to support the Cancer Drug Parity Act (H.R. 4101/S. 5004) and help ensure patients aren't forced to pay more simply because their cancer treatment comes in a pill instead of an infusion.

As oral cancer therapies become a more common standard of care, patients deserve equal access to lifesaving treatment without unnecessary financial barriers.

It only takes a minute to send a message through METAvivor's VoterVoice Action Center.
