We are thrilled to celebrate a monumental milestone of St. Mary’s Medical Center School of Nursing: 100 years since the State of West Virginia chartered the school. Born from a need for more nurses to serve at the hospital, this program has steadfastly met the region’s healthcare needs since its founding in 1926.

Today, we honor Angie Swearingen, President, Dr. Joey Trader, Vice President of Schools of Nursing and Health Professionals, the dedicated faculty, and everyone who has contributed to this enduring tradition of excellence. Their leadership, professionalism, and compassion continue to shape the next generation of compassionate nursing professionals.
