Hope for Appalachia seeks to provide a safe community and resources for those who are affected by addiction.

Our programs are focused on children and families affected by the addiction crisis, as well as those in active addiction.

Kroger has made it easy for shopper's to give back to their favorite organizations in their community through their Kroger Community Rewards Program!
All you need is a Kroger Shopper's Card linked to your Kroger digital account. Under your account settings, scroll down to the "Community Rewards" tab and enroll. Select "Hope for Appalachia, Inc." Organization number KQ786. This costs nothing to you and does not affect your fuel points or savings. Each quarter, Kroger sends HFA a check with our earnings for the past three months. Every little bit helps! You can also check how much of an impact you have made under the "Community Rewards" tab.

We are excited to announce that we have NIP Credits available! Credits are available on a first come, first served basis- don't wait and reserve yours today!

What is NIP?
The Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP) is a tax credit program of $3 million each year, which allows 501(c)3 designated charitable organizations to apply for tax credit vouchers, which began in 1996 with $2 million. When awarded, the organization can distribute the vouchers to business and individuals who contribute a minimum of $500 to organizations, receiving up to 50% in tax credit, allowing the donor or corporation to reduce their West Virginia tax liability no more than 50%. The organizations pay a 3% fee on the donation, which offsets the administrative costs of NIP. During this time, over 69,000 donations from individuals and businesses have been received.

THANK YOU City National Bank for hosting a hygiene item drive benefiting our HOPE Closet program! We received over 9,000 items for our Closets!
Hygiene drives like this are vital to our program, giving us the ability to restock our Closets and to students and families in Kanawha, Boone, Putnam, Clay, and Harrison counties.
City National Bank has been a strong partner in hosting these hygiene item drives for us over the past few years, and we are so grateful!

Starting tomorrow, City National Bank is hosting a Toiletry Drive for our HOPE Closets! For most of the month of August, you can drop off hygiene items or make a monetary donation at any of these City National Bank locations:

Items and funds received from this drive will be circulated through Kanawha, Boone, Clay, Putnam, and Harrison Counties via our HOPE Closets in local schools meaning your donations stay local to help students and families in your very own community!
