Honolulu Pride Month begins here. 🌺🏳️‍🌈

At sunrise, we gather at Kapaemahu to officially open Honolulu Pride Month—grounded in culture, place, and the generations who came before us.

Kapaemahu: Nā Pōhaku Ola begins with oli at 6:20 AM, followed by opening protocols at this wahi pana. Together, we honor Kapaemahu and the enduring legacy of Hawaiʻi’s māhū, and set our intentions for a month rooted in aloha, respect, remembrance, and pride.

We invite our community to join us dressed in white attire as we begin Honolulu Pride Month together. Light breakfast and refreshments will follow the ceremony.

We’re incredibly grateful to welcome First Hawaiian Bank as the Presenting Sponsor of Rainbows Over Honolulu!

Partnerships like this make it possible for us to create spaces where Hawaiʻi’s LGBTQIA+ community can come together, celebrate who we are, and feel the aloha and support of our entire community.

Mahalo for standing with us and helping our rainbows shine even brighter over Honolulu! 🏳️‍🌈✨
