One month ago, we gathered for Health & Welfare Council of Long Island’s Endless Summer Soirée on the Greens, a night of impact, connection, and celebration of the people and partnerships making a difference across Long Island. ✨

We’re still reflecting on the energy, generosity, and community that made this night so special. To our honorees, sponsors, guests, partners, supporters, and the entire HWCLI community, thank you for being part of an unforgettable evening and for the work you continue to make possible.

One month later, the impact continues, in the partnerships we strengthen, the lives we touch, and the work we do together for Long Island.

As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we asked our HWCLI team what Hispanic heritage means to them. ❤️💛

Their reflections highlight the traditions, language, family values, and lived experiences that shape who they are and inspire the work they do every day. From breaking down language barriers to building trust and helping families navigate essential services, our staff bring their cultural connections and personal experiences to the communities we proudly serve across Long Island.

As we wrap up this month of celebration, we’re proud to recognize the stories, cultures, and perspectives that make our team and our communities stronger.

It's National School Lunch Week, and HWCLI is celebrating universal free school meals and all they do for NY families. Kids can count on the food they need to focus and learn every school day, and parents have one less cost to cover.

Did your home or business sustain damage from the September 25–27 Nor’easter? NYS is asking residents to report storm-related damage to their primary residence or business through the Damage Self-Reporting Tool.

👉 Report damage here : https://on.ny.gov/3xLeNbY

Reporting damage, even if you’re unsure how serious it is, can help State and local officials document the storm’s impact and support potential requests for federal assistance. Please note: This is a damage reporting tool, not an application for financial assistance.
