Free mental health and wellness programs for cancer patients, family members and caregivers. A 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Services include: Counseling & Support Groups, Educational Workshops, Yoga, Meditation & more
Serving LA, Palm Springs & Coachella Valley -in English & Spanish Our Misson: To ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. A FREE program of education, support, and stress reduction for people with cancer and their loved ones.

Painting led by artist and breast cancer survivor, Jill Covell or CALM Art 🎨

🎗️This is one of several events at dnj Gallery during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The gallery is featuring a group exhibition called “In Strength”, all with work by artists connected to breast cancer. This group show will be on view September 26 - December 5, 2026. In addition to facilitating this event, Jill Covell is also one of the artists whose work is featured in the exhibit.

🎗️When you are a parent with cancer or the parent of a child or teen with cancer, it affects the whole family- That’s why we provide free mental health support for the entire family.

Our Child, Teen & Family Program includes counseling and support groups for parents who have cancer or who have a child/teen with cancer, and age-appropriate counseling and groups for children/teens who have cancer or whose parent or sibling has cancer.

We also host free social events to connect with other families affected by cancer who know what you are going through. Our last outing was a visit to Color Me Mine!

Facilitator Spotlight - Dra. Gómez

Dr. Cristina Gómez—is a bilingual, licensed clinical psychologist, trauma therapist, cancer survivor and thriver, and a dedicated advocate for raising awareness of the impact of trauma on the body and for supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and well-being.
With extensive experience working with patients affected by trauma, chronic illness, and cancer, Dr. Gómez brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work.

Her own journey as a cancer survivor and thriver has deepened her understanding of resilience, the mind-body connection, and the many dimensions of healing.

She remains committed to staying informed about the latest research on how trauma affects the body and how individuals can be supported in cultivating greater health and well-being.

“I am deeply proud of my Mexican heritage and especially passionate about supporting the Spanish-speaking community. Through individual therapy, educational workshops, and community presentations, I want to make mental health and wellness resources more accessible, culturally responsive, and inclusive.”

Dr. Timothy J. Williamson of Loyola Marymount University will discuss research focused on reducing inequities in cancer prevention, care, screening, and clinical research.
