BSLT is a non-profit organization with a mission to inspire love of land and conservation of our treasured landscapes. Founded in 1978, our legacy includes conserving over 40,000 acres and increasing access to public parklands. We bring people together to conserve, restore and care for our region’s natural beauty so that everyone can benefit from experiencing nature where they live.

Volunteer with us for a Youth Summer Camp Setup Day on Wednesday, June 24! ⛺ ☀️

We hope you will consider helping us prepare Glen Deven Ranch for our Youth Summer Camp series! We will be working in two cohorts, one helping to organize gear and prepare the house, and the other will assist in setting up the canvas tents.

We will rendezvous at the Rio Road Park and Ride together. Please arrive no later than 10 a.m. We will drive to Glen Deven together in Big Sur Land Trust vehicles and plan to return you to your parked vehicles by 4 p.m.

Happy National Trails Day (American Hiking Society )! 🥾

At Big Sur Land Trust, we celebrate our trails every day by leaving the trails and outdoor spaces better than we found them and working toward a world where everyone feels welcome and has access to the outdoors. Check out our many trails to celebrate today and remember to stick to the basics by packing out everything you pack in, taking only photos, and leaving only footprints (on designated trails of course).

Celebrate with us by attending our California Birding Atlas 'Big Weekend' birding field trip at Glen Deven Ranch on Thursday, June 4 from 8:00am to 1:00pm! 🐦

Contribute to the first annual Big Weekend of the California Birding Atlas as Big Sur Land Trust and the Monterey Audubon Society come together in the beauty of Glen Deven Ranch for a day of spectacular views made possible by our ocean and the conservation of coastal lands. We will search for evidence of nesting bird behavior and record it in eBird to contribute to the California Birding Atlas.
