Channel 3000 coverage of the Silver Jubilee Celebration of Melharmony on Oct 11, in Madison featuring over 150 artistes (including Madision Memorial High School Band led by Mr Ben Jaeger & Middleton High School Orchestra led by Mr Ben Jaeger) with a grand concert by Maestro Chitravina N Ravikiran, the KAIA Quartet, Laura Perry (Double Bass), Sriram Iyer ( Mrdangam), Blajai Chandran (Ghatam), Sanjay Suresh ( Violin) and Arjun Suresh (Chitravina). It was an honor to have Deputy Mayor Katie Crawley present the proclamation from the City of Madison declaring Oct 11, 2025 as "Melharmony Silver Jubilee Day", and to Former Mayor of Middleton and Sitar Maestro Gaurav Mazumdar's presence. We were privileged to confer the "Lifetime Achievement Award" to Prof Robert Morris & Guru Hema Rajagopalan for their outsatnding artistic contributions.
The icing on the cake was the exquisite choreography of Guru Hema Rajagopalan and the brilliant presentation by Natya Dance Theater of two episodes of Shri Ravikiran’s “Lakshmi Prabhavam” preceded by a colorful and spritely presentation of the first episode - “Lakshmi Sambhavam” by Guru Asha Adiga’s Acharya Performing Arts Academy. Heartfelt thanks to the Board of the Melharmony Foundation and several volunteers led by Dr Jyotirmayee Vishnusekar for their suppprt, and to Arman Rahman, Alankrita Mazumdar & Jayasri Sundara Raghavan for their amazing emceeing.
A ceremony at Vel Phillips Memorial High School on Saturday celebrated 25 years of Melharmony.
