We are grateful to have received a few donations for the upcoming open house and ribbon cutting ceremony and are still looking for a few more donors to help with some basic janitorial supplies. We have created a "wish list" on Amazon with some essentials that will help prep the building for your arrival. This "wish list" includes janitorial items such as trash and recycling bins, paper towel, toilet paper, and bathroom cleaning products and fixtures. These are our first priority at the moment.

You might be asking yourself the following question: Why does an organization that has been around since 1863 need these essential items? That's a great question. The ERLA has been fortunate to occupy space on the campus of Lancaster Theological Seminary and Franklin and Marshall College since it first began in 1863. Both of these great organizations have provided janitorial services for us (in addition to many other services) and we have never needed to purchase cleaning materials or supplies in the past. This is our first time outfitting our own facility and with that comes the need to purchase materials of our own.

Thank you to everyone who makes a purchase for the ERLA. Every purchase helps us get closer to our goal!

We are getting closer to our open house and ribbon cutting ceremony that will take place on August 21, 2026, and we need some help getting started. The E&R Library & Archives has created a "wish list" on Amazon with some essentials that will help prep the building for your arrival. This "wish list" includes janitorial items such as trash and recycling bins, paper towel, toilet paper, and bathroom cleaning products and fixtures. These are our first priority at the moment.

The wish list also includes essential office supplies that we will need to operate on a daily basis. These will also be needed and are included for your consideration, but are not our first priority.

You might be asking yourself the following question: Why does an organization that has been around since 1863 need these essential items? That's a great question. The ERLA has been fortunate to occupy space on the campus of Lancaster Theological Seminary and Franklin and Marshall College since it first began in 1863. The E&R Library & Archives was on the road today to visit Calvary United Church of Christ in Turtle Creek, PA. This beautiful church was organized in 1882 (present building constructed in 1896) in the former Reformed Church in the United States and was originally part of the Allegheny Classis of the Pittsburgh Synod. Calvary UCC recently made the difficult decision to close their doors and we are grateful for their 144 years of ministry in Turtle Creek, PA. We are also excited to announce that Calvary UCC has entrusted the E&R Library & Archives to preserve their historical records so that their legacy will live on for future generations!

Also exciting is the fact that this church record group will become the FIRST collection brought the E&R Library & Archive's new facility in Lewisburg, WV. We look forward to making these materials available once they have been fully processed.
