Horizon Day Camp-Baltimore Welcome to Horizon Day Camp—Baltimore, the first day camp, offered free of charge, for children with cancer and their siblings — in the state of Maryland.

Horizon Day Camp-Baltimore is a proud member of the Sunrise Association, whose mission is to bring back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings worldwide. Sunrise accomplishes this through the creation and oversight of welcoming, inclusive summer day camps, year-round programs and in-hospital recreational programs, all offered free of charge. world where cancer will not be the defining factor in a child’s life; where children and families navigating the difficult world of pediatric cancer can find hope, love, and an extra ray of sunshine; where cultural diversity is embraced and every child is celebrated for who they are and for the unique gifts they bring into the world. Fun Is Mandatory
Sunrise is children just being children - having fun playing and laughing together. We want every child, even if they can attend for only a day, to have the best day ever! Inclusivity and Diversity

While we may not be able to cure cancer, Sunrise can provide the healing of the heart as well as the hope that each child can experience the true meaning of childhood.

💙✨ Kindness was the theme, and our campers truly brought it to life!

Yesterday’s Camp Kindness Day was filled with smiles, teamwork, and meaningful moments. Campers teamed up for a fun game of Photo Bingo with Wide Angle Youth Media, using creativity and collaboration to complete each challenge. 📸🎉

To make the day even sweeter, everyone enjoyed delicious cake pops from DOTS Chocolate Creations! 🍰🍫

Our campers had the chance to enjoy a special performance from the Baltimore Improv Group, where quick wit, creativity, and audience participation made for an unforgettable show. From big laughs to everyday camp adventures, it was another day full of fun and memories! 💙☀️

Yesterday, we brought a little spooky season to summer with Scarecrow’s Halloween! Campers and staff showed off their Halloween spirit in festive costumes before celebrating with a frightfully fun party filled with games, candy, and plenty of smiles. 🍬🕸️🎉

A special thank you to the team from Turner Construction for volunteering their time and helping make the day even more memorable. Your energy and support helped bring the Halloween magic to life! 💙

☀️🍦 Yesterday checked all the boxes for a perfect summer camp day!

Our campers cooled off at the pool, navigated their way through an inflatable corn maze, and topped it all off with a sweet surprise from the ice cream truck. 😎🌽💦

Lazy Mazy Days of Summer reminded us that sometimes the best memories are made with simple moments, big laughs, and a little ice cream on a hot day. 💙✨
