🐾💛 Cloe Has Spent Her Life Being Needed. Now She Needs Someone to Be There for HER. 💛🐾
SPECIAL FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR SWEET CLOE!
At 8 years old, Cloe should be enjoying the simple pleasures of being a Golden Retriever—a soft bed, a loving family, and the comfort of knowing she's finally safe.
Instead, this beautiful former breeding mama is still learning one of life's most important lessons: that when someone leaves, it doesn't mean they're never coming back. ❤️
Cloe gave birth to her most recent litter of puppies just this past May. When she came into rescue, she was also suffering from a serious, long-neglected ear infection that has required weeks of diagnosis and treatment.
Through it all, Cloe has remained an incredibly sweet, gentle, and loving girl.
💛 There's So Much to Love About Cloe!
🐾 She's 8 years young, affectionate, intelligent, and eager to please.
🐾 She's completely house-trained and a wonderful companion when someone is home.
🐾 She loves being near her people, welcoming visitors, and enjoying a good meal!
🐾 She's beautifully behaved at the veterinarian, enjoys being brushed, and quickly learns household routines.
🐾 She has that unmistakable Golden Retriever sweetness—the kind that makes you fall in love with her simply by looking into her eyes.
But Cloe is struggling with something heartbreaking. She is terrified of being left alone.
Her anxiety is so overwhelming that she has broken out of multiple crates and damaged doors and woodwork in her attempts to cope. Despite a consistent routine and medication to help manage her anxiety, she continues to struggle.
This isn't a bad dog misbehaving. This is a frightened dog who hasn't yet learned that she's safe, even when her person isn't beside her.
🏡 Could You Be the Special Foster Cloe Needs?
We're searching for a patient, understanding foster family who can give Cloe the stability, reassurance, and time she needs to build confidence.
❤️ Her ideal foster home would offer:
- Someone home much of the time, such as a retiree or someone who works from home.
- A calm, predictable routine that helps her feel secure.
- A securely fenced yard, since Cloe is still learning to feel comfortable going for walks away from home.
- Possibly another calm, confident dog whose companionship may help her feel less alone.
- Patience and compassion as she works through her separation anxiety.
Cloe doesn't need perfection. She needs someone who understands that healing isn't always just physical. Sometimes the deepest wounds are the ones we cannot see.
And here's what makes Cloe so special...
Her current foster describes how Cloe will sit quietly and look directly into her eyes. There's something incredibly touching about that connection—a sweet, loving dog who wants nothing more than to be close to someone she trusts.
Imagine being the person who helps Cloe discover that love doesn't disappear when someone walks out the door.
That she can rest peacefully.
That she doesn't have to be afraid.
That the rest of her life can finally be about HER. 💛
🐾 Cloe has spent years giving. Now it's her turn to receive.
Please consider opening your heart and home to this beautiful girl. She may need a little more patience than some dogs, but she has so much love to give in return.
Be Cloe's safe place. Be her reassurance. Be the reason she finally learns what it means to feel secure and loved.
