The East Central CIT program kicked off its 40-hour training this week at the Audrain Ambulance District!

Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training helps law enforcement and other community professionals recognize, understand and respond effectively when someone may be experiencing a mental health crisis.

The Arthur Center team is proud to play an active role in CIT, from helping plan the training and providing instruction to hosting a resource fair and welcoming participants for tours of our facility.

Over the years, the training has expanded beyond law enforcement to include other community partners who regularly interact with individuals in crisis. Bringing professionals together, building relationships and increasing understanding helps create a stronger, more compassionate response across our communities.

As we continue to recognize Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, we’re proud to share a few photos of our amazing Arthur Center Community Health team wearing their su***de prevention awareness shirts this month.

Our team shows up every day for one another, our patients, and for the communities we serve. Su***de prevention starts with connection, awareness, conversations, reducing stigma, and making sure people know that help and hope are available.

We’re proud of a team that continues to spread that message, not just during September, but all year long.

If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. Help is available 24/7.
