Serving 10 counties in the Alabama-Florida Gulf Coast region, Goodwill Gulf Coast provides programs and services to help individuals and families overcome challenges due to disabilities and other barriers that impact economic well-being, self-sufficiency, and quality of life. Our mission is to help families, in whatever shape they are in – needing a job, a GED, or literacy skills, help with parenting a special needs child, or a place for their adult family member who can’t stay home alone. They may need help teaching their children to be ready for school, or getting a piece of medical equipment they can’t afford. If you have donated one bag of clothing. bought one item in our stores, spent one hour tutoring, mentoring a teen, or helping us read stories to toddlers – THANK YOU. You have helped us to make a person’s life brighter, a future more secure, families more confident. You have helped us strengthen individuals, families, and communities, one child, one parent, one person at a time.

📚 Volunteers Needed for Adult Literacy Tutoring!

Many adults in our community want to improve their reading and a little one-on-one support can make a life-changing difference. Goodwill Gulf Coast is seeking caring volunteers to work individually with adult literacy participants to help improve reading skills, build confidence, and open doors to new opportunities.

Goodwill Gulf Coast Alabama locations are open for normal business hours on Tuesday, October 13th.

As power continues to be restored following the hurricane, the following Florida locations will reopen on Tuesday, October 13th with normal business hours:

Fort Walton Beach
Pace
Eglin Donation Center
Sorrento Donation Center
Florosa Donation Center
East Hill Donation Center

All other Florida locations will remain closed until power is restored.

Our open Florida stores have outlets available for you to charge your electronic devices. Thank you for your patience as we work to return all locations to normal operations.

Following Hurricane Isaias, all Alabama Goodwill Gulf Coast locations are operating under normal business hours.

In Florida as power continues to be restored, the following locations will reopen on Monday, October 12:

Fort Walton Beach: Normal business hours
Pace: Normal opening time, closing at 5:00 PM due to the curfew
Eglin Donation Center: Normal business hours
Sorrento Donation Center: Normal business hours
Florosa Donation Center: Normal business hours

All other Florida locations will remain closed until power is restored. We will continue monitoring conditions and provide updates as additional locations are able to reopen.

For employees and customers in Florida who are still without power at home, our open Florida stores will have outlets available for you to charge your electronic devices.

All Goodwill Gulf Coast Alabama locations will reopen with normal operating hours on Sunday, October 11.

Our Florida locations are still without power and will remain closed Sunday. We will continue monitoring the situation and will post updates as power is restored and each location is able to reopen.

Due to anticipated dangerous weather conditions, all Goodwill Gulf Coast locations including retail stores, outlet stores, administrative offices, opportunity centers, and donation centers will be closed on Friday, October 9th and Saturday, October 10th.

The Florosa Donation Center (1900 US Hwy. 98 Mary Esther, FL 32569) is closing today, Thursday, October 8th due to a mandatory evacuation.

Getting an autism diagnosis for a young child can take more than 2 years. Goodwill Gulf Coast opened our Autism Evaluation Clinic in Mobile just two years ago to help reduce that wait to as little as 2 months. An earlier diagnosis can help children qualify for services and support that can make a meaningful difference in their lives. ⏱️

Our clinic provides autism evaluations for children ages 2–5. We accept Medicaid, uninsured, and insured patients.
📋 The evaluation process includes two phone interviews or surveys and up to three clinic visits.
