Our hard-working scholarships team just finished crunching the numbers and we have once again surpassed the prior fiscal year's record for dollars out the door to students across our communities! Thank you so much to everyone who made this possible, including our staff, donors, committee members and scholarship fund holders!

Join us this Friday as we launch the 2026 Friday Night Downtown season with live music sponsored by Humboldt Area Foundation + Wild Rivers Community Foundation and the Trees of Mystery

🎶 JORDAN & THE FAMILY TREE
📅 Friday, June 5, 2026
⏰ Music 5:00–7:30 PM
📍 Downtown Crescent City — 3rd Street between G & J

Bring a chair, grab dinner from our local food vendors, explore downtown shops, and enjoy an evening under the Redwood Coast sky. Jordan & The Family Tree's soulful blend of blues, roots music, and powerful harmonies is the perfect soundtrack for opening night.

We are excited to kick off our 10th season of bringing the community together and continuing our mission of changing the narrative about Downtown Crescent City. For the past decade, Friday Night Downtown (and all our earlier named versions) has been about creating a welcoming place where people can shop, dine, connect with neighbors, discover local businesses, and build new friendships. Here's to 10 years of community, connection, and creating memories together downtown. We can't wait to celebrate with you.

The Gil and Ann Hess Fund was established with a vision of helping youth in Del Norte County dream big and go far. On May 6, fund advisor Kevin Hartwick and HAF+WRCF Vice President of Advancement Gina Zottola were honored to present a $10,000 grant from the Hess Fund to the Del Norte High School Medical Sciences Club. The grant will support 85+ amazing students as they get hands-on experience in clinical and entrepreneurial healthcare, visit universities, and attend medical conferences. We are honored to support the legacy of the Hess family and other generous donors by helping students in rural communities access opportunities that might otherwise have been out of reach. And we are so proud of these young innovators exploring the future of medicine, diagnostics and healthcare technology, and potentially bringing vital medical skills back to Del Norte County.
